It doesn't prove that he can fight faster, BP seemed more skilled than Ozy. you're letting your bias blind you to what the movies actually show.

^ The terminal velocity, yeah, the punch will be as fast if not faster than a simple hand movement. But from the time you initiate the punch to actually completing it, no, that takes longer than simply moving your hand. There are for more muscles and parts involved in delivering a proper punch than simply moving your hand, thus it can't be launched as fast.

A punch can be thrown completely in the same amount of time or less than moving the hand across the body to catch something.

Of course different. But a punch wouldn't be significantly less speed than catching something. That's ridiculous.
If you can move your hand across your body to catch something then you can easily punch at least with the same speed. Even if not, then it shouldn't be significantly less (it should be more Tbh).
