I mean, it's bound to be a pretty intense segment as far as DB is concerned, but by the looks of the "Saiyan hand touching the space pod" scene from the trailer, it is essentially just going to be an extended version of Minus.

...But apparently moviegoers will weep at the sheer depth and magnitude of the scene, lol.

-Bardock AND Gine are there to wish baby Goku farewell, right out of Minus.
-Freeza destroys Planet Vegeta.
-Goku, Vegeta, and Broly appear closer to the end (as kids and adults.)

Lemo and Cheelye are the first people Broly ever encounters besides his father. Seems like they're going for a strong parallel between Broly's 'isolation' as a child, and kid Goku growing up alone with Grandpa Gohan in the mountains.

Didn't they retcon Goku's age? As well as we saw Frieza in the manga blow up Planet Vegeta and Bardock had his old armor, and so did Frieza. Pretty sure we saw Frieza do it in Super too and it was a repeat of the anime. Seems like a weird little pointless change.

Also Bardock leaving Goku and what happens is going to be the emotional aspect here.

Pretty sure that will be the "fans will cry" part of the movie.

From the very first trailer it was obvious this scene:

Bardock and baby Goku are wearing the exact same wristbands, and the rocky/tree-like structures in the background are also identical. It will definitely be the emotional sequence they mentioned... Even though it's just a cheesy Superman ripoff.

Goku went from baby aged, to Goten's age
