Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Discussion Thread

I mean, Goku and Vegeta were significantly weakened when they used Potara fusion against Zamasu, and it definitely seemed to have an impact on the power of Vegetto -- hence him eating the last senzu bean and powering up immediately after:

That's why I'm asking about Gogeta's power. I mean, it doesn't seem like he'd be operating at full power, given how weakened Goku and Vegeta were when they fused, but the implications of Gogeta being neutered...and still doing what he did, as effortlessly as he did it...are just asinine. /shrug

Oh yeah, that wasn't close to a peak Vegetto. It could have been equivalent to a weakened Jiren, give or take. Broly was fresh by comparison.

I thought when beings fuse, they are completely healed. That's like saying the teo Saiyan girls were weakened when they fused against Ultra Instinct Goku. Fusion heals them.

I can't see why the same logic wouldn't hold true for Metamoran fusion..? After all, the whole principle behind BOTH forms of fusion is about exponentially expanding upon/multiplying the existing powers of the fusees. If they're weakened, that's what is multiplied -- if they're at full power, that's what is multiplied. /shrug

Did vegito do the same in the dbs anime? Cuz the manga and anime seems to diverge a bit at certain points.

I don't remember if Vegetto was shown eating a senzu in the anime, but there WAS one available.

Either way, Toriyama has a lot more direct involvement with the manga, which means it represents a truer look at his actual vision. And given that Toei stayed as close as possible to Toriyama's script/vision for the Broly film, I can't help but wonder if Gogeta would have technically been depleted to some extent, just like Vegetto was in the aforementioned scene...

So Freeza still wants to recruit Broly.

And he's still as evil as ever. Outright murdered Paragus, just to prove a theory.

Goku also wants to use Broly as a sparring partner, which kind of makes him a dick, but is in character. I could see Team Broly teaming up with Freeza again, for some reason or other. He's pretty manipulative, so he'll either make them an offer they can't refuse, or simply kidnap his new friends, and force him into service.
