Just got back from it. Actually forgot it was coming out today until it happened and saw it posted about over social media and stuff, and haven't had too many days off lately, so seemed like good timing.
Spoiler:
Suppose I should just be glad at this point that Bardock wasn't robbed of his final stand against Frieza, even if it wasn't as impactful as in his original film and still had cool characterization. The new age Broly did not disappoint. Liked his portrayal through and through, even down to the story of how he got his fur cloth, and glad he'll be able to develop as a character without Paragus holding him back.
Frieza still felt like Frieza thankfully despite the silliness of the wish he wanted to make, and him killing Paragus to get the super saiyan reaction out of Broly was priceless, even if it bit him in the ass which I'm surprised he held up as well as he did too after the beating. Also interesting to see Frieza still plans to use Broly as a means to an end.
Gogeta I still feel was an necessary shoehorn of fanservice and would've rather had MUI again or something for the climax but eh, just going off fight choreography alone this still might be the best Dragon Ball movie.
Just came back from seeing the movie
Spoiler:
Starting off I didn't mind the rectons to much even though Bardock's last stand has kind of lost its flare. Seeing Goku/Raditz mom is pretty weird now though.Broly's character eas also neat and really brings home the tragic Hulk style by giving him a backstory and friends...for a 40 year old.
Frieza being Frieza was cool and seeing get him comeuppance was a spectacle after seeing him trigger the SSJ rage in Broly. Would have like to see just a few seconds more of Whis playing around with Broly prior to the big fanservice Gogeta moment.
Will try to see it again during the weekend if I have nothing else to do.

I liked them using Gogeta, because it still shows how powerful that combo is. Also he used the same final attack to kill Broly that he used to kill Janemba. I thought that was cool to see again.

Hes not going to, bow im sure he knows Freeza destroyed his planet, I dont know if he cares about that, but with Goku and Broly being training partners now, freeza is ****ed.
Originally posted by EstacadoBroly seems almost #16-like in his pacifism(until something happens to someone he cares about of course), but his extreme isolation for all these years has made him... Naive, to say the least. I could easily see Freeza playing mind-games to get him on his side.

Maybe Freeza could kidnap(or even kill) Cheelai and pin it on Goku/Vegeta or somesuch..? That'd definitely get Broly worked up and on Freeza's side... And I cannot even imagine what an all-out Broly would be capable of now that he's zenkai'd from his Gogeta beating. ermmnone
Broly's power creep is what I was blown away by.
-Base Broly starts off considerably weaker than base Vegeta.
-Base Broly becomes stronger than base Vegeta.
-Vegeta goes SSJ and is more powerful than base Broly.
-Base Broly becomes more powerful than SSJ Vegeta.
-Vegeta goes SSG and is more powerful than base Broly.
-Broly goes Ikari and is more powerful than SSG Vegeta.
-SSG Goku enters the fray and is swiftly overpowered by Ikari Broly.
-Goku goes SSB and is more powerful than Ikari Broly.
-Ikari Broly soon becomes more powerful than SSB Goku.
-Freeza kills Paragus which forces Broly to become SSJ.
-SSJ Broly is able to effortlessly wipe his ass with SSB Goku+SSB Vegeta as though they are weak feebs.
-Goku/Vegeta flee the battlefield, and they believe that fusion is the ONLY way to defeat Broly at this point.
-Broly starts beating the absolute shit out of Golden Freeza. In the light novel Freeza comments that SSJ Broly has the most powerful ki he has EVER felt.
-Gogeta enters the fray.
-SSJ Gogeta and SSJ Broly engage in a battle that appears to be shattering dimensional barriers. SSJ Gogeta is significantly more powerful than SSJ Broly.
-Broly becomes FPSSJ, and his power increase was significant enough for Gogeta to up his own power to SSB in response.
-SSB Gogeta then proceeds to completely dominate FPSSJ Broly.
-Goku later 'ports to Broly's location on planet Vampa, and states that Broly is probably more powerful than even Beerus.
*And keep in mind that Broly's entire power increase occurred over the span of, like, 2 hours. Lol.
At any rate, the heavy implication is that FPSSJ Broly >>> SSJ Gogeta at the very least, which is just absurd... Especially since Broly would be significantly more powerful now, due to the hefty zenkai he undoubtedly received after being pummeled by Gogeta.

For the first time we seen what a legendary saijen is capable of. He’s above saijen god tier.
