Shortly before RotS Dooku force pushed Anakin and Obi-Wan backwards with 1 hand while also knocking over a dozen people, with them actively trying to block it.

This isn't true. They resisted the attack. That's what it looks like in Canon when you resist a TK attack (reaffirmed in Vader comic).

(Lost Missions aren't Legends anyway, though).

When will Round 2 be Ant?

I don't there's any disputing Luke's supremacy over the other candidates after looking at the votes...

No. George Lucas created the tier system so that Nick Gillard would have an idea on what to do for the fights and character styles.

The tier system would be G-Canon.

The stated reason for the tier systems:

"How does one quantify fighting prowess, and does such a quantity have any practical value? When Stunt Coordinator and Sword Master Nick Gillard sets down to script a lightsaber duel, he needs to have some guage as to how competent the combatants are. On equal-footing, such ranking could easily determine the victor."

It has little to do with stunts. It's perfect for something like forum debates.

It literally says he just uses it to create the stunts. The tier system is merely used to manage the stunt coordination and Lucas has never officiated it. It has no official place in any kind of canon. That quote you posted changes nothing about Gillards lack of authority to dictate canon.

Of course they resisted it to an extent. But the fact remains that they were pushed back several feet despite resisting him combined. In fact when it cuts back to them it shows that they've been forced to their knees.

And yet RotS Anakin rivals Sidious, the guy who choked Dooku out from across the galaxy and ragdolled Maul and Savage at once? I don't think so.

Luke

Nick Gillard could use it to wipe his ass - its's irrelevant. All that matters is George Lucas made it and made it to establish who wins in fights.

Anything Lucas makes, including "unpublished notes," is considered canonical. In this case, the tier systems are outright published.

This has nothing to do with Nick Gillard whatsoever. It's all about George.

I'll get back to your other point when I have access to my computer.

If you want to debate G-Canon isn't a thing, then we can discuss that, but this is a different conversation.

Voted for Luke.

Also, the differences between each tier get progressively more massive the higher you get. So Vader hitting tier 10 repeatedly is far beyond anything ROTS Sidious has to claim. The only argument is how much did Sheev really grow afterwards.

For all the arguments against Knightfall Vader, I've still yet to see anything beyond Mastery of the Force arguments. Which are neither genuine in terms of accolades nor really relevant.

Knightfall Vader is still the GOAT.

How does that prove anything? Luke and Sidious aren't bound to PT-era comparisons.

... what? Tier 10 exists in the final version.

Level nine, the highest level of lightsaber fighting, is occupied by a small number of capable sword masters, including Yoda and Darth Sidious. At so high a ranking, it comes down to individual fighting styles as well as the circumstances of the surroundings that make a difference.

Luke because he's Luke
Everyone knows he's the most powerful

Jesus Christ, Kbro.

The actual site that TFN got that from does not read like that:

For the curious, Gillard does not reveal any Jedi who has achieved level ten. The highest is nine, occupied by a small number of capable sword masters, including Yoda and Darth Sidious. At so high a ranking, it comes down to individual fighting styles as well as the circumstances of the surroundings that make a difference.

Now, shoo, shoo.

Who says the tiers are restricted to the PT era?

No, I'm saying that you have no idea what tier non-PT era characters would have fallen under. Luke could be a 12 for all you know.

They use the Richter scale, which only goes up to ten.

So it's impossible for Luke to be substantially above someone like Anakin, who's nudged very close to 10.

There's no inherent reason why a logarithmic scale would cap at 10, it's just that no earthquake has ever warranted something beyond that.

I'm pretty sure Gillard has said 10 = absolute perfection, but I'll get back to you on that.

Well he also said 8-9 "shouldn't exist" right? Besides, if this is overall ability and not technical skill, you can't get to absolute perfection unless if you literally have infinite power.

I'll get back to you on everything. I'm going to check out his interviews now.

In other words, only FP Anakin can reach 10?

Sounds legit - and further supports by argument that ROTS Anakin is rapidly racing toward the finish line. 👆
