And nowhere is the term “Old Gods” used. That’s an important distinction. You simply have some dead gods there.

The God Quarry doesn't grant Thanos' lost power back, it grant the power of the Old Golds whom failed in the God Quarry.

That's literally said on-panel by the Wytches. There is no room for interpretation, except if your reading skills are shit or that you are a fanboy. XD

Yeah, semantics it doesn't matter if they are "old" or "forgotten".

All that matter it's that the God Quarry does't give back Thanos' power, it gives the power of the forgotten gods.

It is said twice that Thanos got a "power great enough to fight Thane/the Phoenix wielder", nowhere it is said that's "Thanos lost power" which isn't part of the God Quarry anyway so the context is crystal clear.

By the way the God Quarry is said to be "where Old Gods goes to die"...

Expect loads of PMs Hulkster. RW is lonely.

You still see the gods bodies within the Quarry when a Thanos regions his powers. As with Thanos his form changed back to normal when he got powers back. If RW said IF Thanos had gained all their powers their bodies would have disappeared.

enough power to fight the Phoenix , as in Thanos original power before he got depowered and started to die.

RW can’t read 😂

They don’t capitalize “old gods” as you do. When you say “The Old Gods” you imply those gods that were the precursors to the modern gods, such as what is designated in DC and what is called “Elder Gods” in Marvel. This holds more grandeur than some random gods who died of old age.

This is similar to Darkseid regaining his old form and power level by absorbing the life forces of gods including Zeus. He won’t be tossing lightning bolts around. The power of the dead gods is utilized to restore Thanos to full health and power. He states that at least twice before going through the process and the knowledge of what the God Quarry would provide him comes from knowledge gained while possessing the Infinity Gauntlet. Thus knowledge gained while omniscient. Afterward, he says “I am back”. He makes no statement of being better than before.

“Amps” are temporary power ups. We have no indication that Thanos is less powerful now than after the God Quarry, so even if it makes him more powerful than before, that is his new level and therefore would be applicable to any vs thread involving him in general.

Nope.

Thanos wanted his power to be restored AND a way to fight a Phoenix-empowered Thane.

It's never said that the God Quorry hold Thanos' former power in the first place. It's clear that he got new power from that God Quarry.

For your last point I fully agree. The empowerement seems to be permanent and can be used.

Thanos can casually stomps the team.

Supes tears him apart easily.

.

Thanos take Superman down with a whistle and beat the two others by hand.
