And although all of those scans tell you how great a character he is, there isn't one to no sell a force cube entrapment. Resistance to TP, does not mean being impervious to it. Sophia want to sell this impossible to hurt, faze, or resist Superman that does not exist. He's a big fish in a little pond. Force Cube him and, TP him into the state that Max Lord had him in is a very high possibility. Unless you're only paying attention to Sophia's scan's and can't recall any of the times that he wasn't shining as brightly as that. How far fetched it is that a character able to break even with a Phoenix Avatar could possibly harm or defeat Superman? If Superman can't be beaten, then why place him in vs threads at all? Just say Superman wins and be done with it despite the other characters power level? No problem.
Just remember what a smaller portion of the Phoenix Force did to Gladiator when he ran into the P5. Look at the mess that they made of Thor as well. They as I mentioned had a much smaller portion of the PF than Thane had. If you aren't willing to go with it because they were written by different writers, stop looking at all of the different writers that went into Sophia's combined scan bomb

this paragraph idealizes the disconnect i'm feeling with you. for my part, i've not said once that the team wins, let alone that superman can solo thanos. i've been clear from the beginning. likely many 'superman' people would disagree with me for suggesting thanos's level is such that i DO think he would have some cosmic deux ex machina way of not being overwhelmed by speed. but trying to PROVE it, going by feats? no way i'm crazy enough to try that route. saying force cube doesn't help. has he ever force cubed someone moving at even a FRACTION of light speed? someone who can turn intangible? he could tp supes, agreed. not sure how effective it would be but has he tp'd someone WHILE in the middle of fighting 2 superman level characters simultaneously? i'd think he'd need to focus on supes which would leave him open to a lasso, blasts of magic lightning, swords as sharp or sharper than logan's claws which have penetrated thanos already....and these strats you suggested would have all come in handy recently against the ultimates who beat him not once, but twice in a short time. current seems more powerful though, but you're sort of reverting to his classic abilities anyway.
say you were an alien and knew NOTHING about either character but looked ONLY at the posted feats. would you REALLY say thanos is capable of keeping up with superman? would you be able to conclude he would even have a chance to win this fight at all? because from your years on the forum i know you to be a pretty reasonable guy, i'd be willing to bet, in a vacuum, there is no way you'd side with thanos based on the evidence shown here. and THAT has been my point all along.
