Nope that was early missinfirmation before the movie got released.

He said Broly might be stronger then Beerus...

Jiren was also shown in a flashback so I think there is a reason he said that and not Broly is even stronger then Jiren take however you want it...

I mean, Goku explicitly mentions the other great powers in the multiverse at the start of the film(Jiren and a few others are directly shown), but at the end of the film he STILL uses Beerus as *the* measuring stick for Broly's power. Not Jiren, or himself, or anyone else.

You can interpret that a few different ways, I suppose, but I tend to think that Goku still uses Beerus as a point of comparison, because he views him as the most powerful being there is(excluding Angels, obv)... Or at least, that's how he used to view him, until Broly entered the fray. /shrug

I tend to think it means Goku might not view Broly as above Jiren, just Beerus. 🙂

That works IF you think Broly was intended to be sub-Jiren-level. Personally, I've never seen the threats decrease in power as the plot progresses in DB, and I haven't been given any legitimate reason to start thinking that's the case here. /shrug
