They claim I do. But I do not. I would prefer to play a game like NWN or Baldurs Gate. Or some Morrowind.

What class do you play in WoW?

Never played, but I tend to play mage classes in RPGs.

All the RPG's you named are pretty old. Do you not like modern day RPG's much?

Some. I enjoyed Pillars of Eternity. Tyranny was a good game. Dragon Age 1 and 2.

But I find there is a lot of hand holding now in RPGs. Morrowind is f*cking brutal compared to Oblivion or Skyrim.

Yeah, that's true.

Never played Morrowind, would love a remake of that.

Also never was able to get into Balder's Gate 1 or 2, or NWN. Been years since I tried, though. I should give them another go.

Morrowind with the gameplay of Skyrim would be excellent. You couldn't just do everything easily. In Skyrim you can become the head of every guild, you don't need powerful magic to become an arch mage.

In Morrowind you needed at least 1 magic stat over 90 and a few others at like 60 to do it.

That sounds better than the Skyrim system, at least in regards to actual role playing. While I appreciate the convenience of being able to do all the content without jumping through many hoops in Skyrim, I always was kinda taken out of it when I could just become the boss of every aspect of the entire world without any real effort. I'd prefer the Morrowind system.

Yeah Morrowind definitely did guilds and exploration better than Skyrim did. I still loved Skyrim, but I'm sad that general playability came at the expense of some of the character building depth.

I am tentatively hopeful that Skywind will finally be released and will be as amazing as it seems.

Buncha plebs in this thread. I dropped about 300 hours in f---ing Daggerfall back in the day. It's been downhill since then for Elder Scrolls.

In seriousness, there are pros and cons to most of the ES series (except Arena, which was garbage even for its time). Used to play the hell out of WoW, too, but my account has been inactive for probably 5 years now.

I truly tried to play Daggerfall, but ran into glitches and it just wasn't for me.

I remember beginning in Morrowind...those f*cking rats, you couldn't kill rats. I'd be swinging my sword and it wouldn't hit the rat. I felt like an a-hole.

Yeah, all the ES games are also much better on PC due to modding. Morrowind is less frustrating. I got rid of most of those cliff racers, f*ck them. And I added magic regeneration like in Oblivion. A few other tweaks, it didn't break the game or anything.

That Skywind looks amazing, I've adding a bunch of graphical update mods to Morrowind, but nothing close to that.

I'm also wondering where the next game is. They usually put out a new game every 6-7 years. Skyrim was 2011.

Early Daggerfall was rough due to bugs, true enough. But the ambition was off the charts. Daggerfall with better procedurally created dungeons and a handful of reasonable modern upgrades would - no joke - be the best single-player game ever imo.

Given the how the setting's lore is progressing with the Thalmor as the overarching antagonists, I'm thinking Summerset Isles. Maybe Valenwood.
