They need 50. Because then Mike Pence gets to cast the tie breaking vote. And thanks to the Democrats being absolute idiots, they don't need a super majority at all. Because, you know, McConnell warned Harry Reid in 2013 not to destroy the filibuster and make a simple majority in the Senate enough to confirm a judicial nominee.
