If Marxism was perverted into "Not Marxism", why would the same argument not apply to facism?

In theory, a benevolent ruler with total control would be awesome. The tricky problem, is no person exists who could rule the way the idealists want.

Same deal with Marxism. In theory, everyone agreeing on an equitable society, where everyone shares in production and everyones needs are met, sounds great. The problem is, again, too many people suck. There's always a "Ponzi", or at least a "David Koresh".

So it falls apart before it gets off the ground.

I agree, Antifa have gladly followed a fascist route.

Nah, fascists are nationalist whereas Antifa seems to think for the most part that borders shouldn't exist. They do align with fascism in the sense that they both don't respect the right to speak of people they disagree with though.
