It's amazing that I've said somethings extremely similar to this on multiple occasions.
Here's how opinions like these work:
1. One person: it's an idea, very likely to be a bad opinion.
2. Two people: it's an idea that may have opinion merit.
3. Millions of people but not a plurality: this idea is legitimate and people should pay attention.
4. A plurality hold the idea: Now it crosses the boundary between an idea and something actionable.
5. A majority hold the idea: The idea will be or already is codified in law or policy.
We are somewhere fluctuating between 3 and 5 depending upon the topic, people in question, and time.
The fact that you, Whirly, do not wish to acknowledge that American Democrat Politicians are some of the slimiest liars on the planet (corrupt as hell about it, too) does not change reality. Tens of millions of voters and even their very own voting democratic party members acknowledge this fact.
Obviously, this does not change the fact that Republicans are assholes and corrupt as well.
