Yeah, reviews are pretty good
John Carpenter was on board. It’s suppose to be like the first n second one so I’m glad.
Also the new predator was released at the same festival and has so so reviews, overall though it’s suppose to be a fun film though more in the theme of predators
Also suspiria premiered and had mixed reviews. I honestly don’t care and will watch it anyway.
I think the key to the film's quality this time is that they hired a director - David Gordon Green - who's never made a horror movie. So he brings a fresh perspective to the genre. He's alternated between Terrence Malick-like dreamy dramas (George Washington, All The Real Girls) to weird comedies (Pineapple Express, The Sitter.) I've been a fan of his since George Washington in 2000.

YouTube videoFYI, this new Halloween film is a direct sequel to the first Halloween from 40 years ago in 1978, therefor eliminating every sequel that was made from the continuity.
I think it has potential, personally.
Rob Zombie’s first Halloween wasn’t that bad, I have to admit. The second film, however, was a fecal glazed abortion.
You mean it negates things like "he was cursed by druids" ?
Noooooooo!
