And this is what you replied:

So, were you or were you not saying that Superman tanked a nuke?

No. My statement was referring to the energy attacks that Superman experienced. You mentioned tank as to move the goalposts.

Bottomline: You got caught moving the goalposts. If you disagree that Superman can tank lightning then just argue against my reasoning. Don’t troll and move goalposts (like Silent does). He’s rubbing off on you.

This thread made a surprising return 😖

And Thor from the first film almost died when he was sent hurling to Earth in that glass prison made to hold the Hulk.

No, he didn't.

Ok thanks. Now that's a legitimate feat and is a valid argument. Somewhat lessened by the fact that a concrete slab survived the blast but legit nonetheless.

I predicted this response above

Why are you dodging? Did you or did you not claim that Superman can tank a nuke? If you didn't then we can drop it and move on.

I answered you question with the first word.
So you admit to moving the goalposts.

So just to clarify: you don't think Superman tanked that nuke. Correct?

What is it about a nuke that weakens him?

Superman is stronger and much faster than Thor

Superman didn't really tank that Nuke but neither did Thor tank the dwarf star

Thor with Stormbreaker might cause superman some issues as the weapon was able to break through the combined might of the gauntlet with all stones.

But as usual this comes down to combat speed and strength so id say Superman takes this 6/10 times

Actually, Thor did tank that star for a few minutes before it finally overwhelmed him. It's not like he got knocked out as soon as it hit him.

Plus, A star >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> nuke.

You going against the definition of tanking. Thor was getting roasted and in severe pain and damage. He just endured it like a boss.

false implication. I'm tanking the suns rays right now. But a nuke at close range is greater than that.

Why must you lie about Thor's feat?

Prove I lied.

In your comparison you substituted Thor withstanding the full force of a star to you personally tanking the sun's rays from approximately 93 million miles.

Not every comment is an argument or a trap. I'm not trying to instigate anything, just trying to get clarification. I want to confirm whether you think Superman tanked a nuke. It's a yes or no question.

You are discussing semantics.
You are trolling. That has nothing to do with this thread. You are derailing it.
Focus on the argument at hand. Superman can withstand lightning well enough to stay in the battle for the reasons I gave.

There is no such thing as full force of a star.
Full temperature of a star focused in a beam is a real concept.

The star was still luminous all around its surface while Thor was getting hit by the focused beam. The star continued to exist after the feat was over.
