no they don't coz if they did then people couldn't make up their own minds and judge for themselves... the billions of people that see movies disagree with you and your articles. they alone can say whether or not movies turn profits and what type of profit is made.. take solo for example it vastly underperformed yet it'll turn a little profit..

it is only a disappointment coz you didn't like it which is fine, but not put words into others mouths who enjoyed it which people clearly did...

Do you know the purpose of ratings Bruce!!?

Cause clearly ratings prove that overall people didn't like the movies.

Suicide Squad was enough of a cinematic nosebleed to make me pick Star Wars every time.

Star Wars is far better than dceu. This isn’t close at all but I hate the parallels between the dceu and the new Star Wars I’m reading all over the internet. A lot of success is riding on episode 9 and Abrams. He’s going to be a nervous wreck.

I just hope you are right and Ep. 9 redeems the SWU, otherwise, it's gonna be a disaster.

Kennedy is on the hot seat for sure. Both franchises are going to go in opposite directions at this point.

I see you don't know much... Ratings don't mean anything. Anyone can go on IMDB and say "I wanna see this film or I don;t wanna see this film... Same with the audience score on RT.. The final judgment has and will always come from the billions of moviegoers that are out there..

No he isn't.. He doesn;t care what the internet says. The internet has no contrl over the movie making business.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.. Why exactly would she be in the hotseat??? Last Jedi was a sucess despite you're ignorance.. Solo looks like it will barely pay for itself.. She isn;t going anywhere

Money makes a difference in the movie making business. This movie failed. That’s undeniable. Disney probably already knew this would be a hard sell with all the animosity and boycotts aimed at Star Wars. I still support it but acting like this movie will make a profit is dreaming. Regroup and hopefully 86 Kathy.

They should delay Episode 9 to 2020 to give Star Wars some breathing room.

Okay, this is clearly YOUR word against IMBd, Forbes, Rottentomatoes, and many many other sites and reviews which dedicate to analyzing fans responses and movie results.

Again kid, you liked the movie, fine. Doesn't mean the rest of us did, nor that your opinion> Internet/fanbase.

challenge accepted worm; choose your weapon

While the DC movies really on have on decisively positive reviewed movie under their belt, Star War under this new leadership isn't really doing itself to many favors in order to expand the franchise.

In the case of the Solo movie, have yet to actually see it myself, I've gathered that it seems to rely too much on the Star Wars brand to put people in seats rather than actually being an entertaining movie. It doesn't help that nobody really asked for this movie either.

Rottentomatoes gave high 90's to female ghostbusters, and low 20's to The Orville and Iron Fist.

So he's right about at least some of them.

Again I don’t need anything to destroy you.

2 years ago I would have said Star Wars hands down, but more recently I'm not sure it's still really close now.

Kennedy shouldn’t survive this. Half of Deadpool 2 an r rated film. And right after they announced Boba Fett and the rumors of Kenobi. Puts them in a box and makes Kennedy look like a fool.

Also this movie now might impact the Boba Fett movie. Who knows, it could turn out to be great, but people might not turn out to see it cuz they will think "Well Solo wasn't that great, I'll just wait for episode 9 to come out".

They will probably never do the Boba Fett film.

They seem to wanna churn out a Star Wars movie once a year. It's not the right strategy.

The new Star Wars debuted less than 3 years ago. We've now had 4 movies.

I never pay attention to the Critics reviews in RT, but rather to the Audience score.

And yet, am not basing my argument only on RT but also on many other sites/pages.
