Getting almost a billion without the aid of China is pretty phenomenal.
Hollywood is suddenly "getting a billion dollars" with every other movie they're releasing.
Truth is, people are starting to pay less attention to actors than in the past, and YouTube and being able to produce your own cheap movies with CG-technology has rendered Hollywood obsolete.
Hollywood is now in the practice of spending millions of dollars to buy theater-seats in order to artificially-manipulate ticket-sales.
Just like with The Lion King, for example.
Endgame and Joker didn't make a billion dollars - but Hollywood is scared of losing relevancy, so they want you to think it did.
Rise Of Skywalker is going to be boycotted to a large extent - and Terminator: Dark Fate will flop.
But they will both end up "making a billion dollars".

I don't count Venom as one but Suicide Squad can be called one.
They were criminals but being the heroes for the film.
Venom and Deadpool were of course both Anti-Heroes in their films.
Joker was the first outright Villain being a villain film. Comic book villain that is.
