They should have let Rian make all 3 movies.
They asked JJ Abrams to direct all three and he said no.
They also asked Rian to direct both the second and third one and he said no.
I'd have been fine with either of them directing the whole trilogy, because at least in that case we would have had a consistent vision throughout all the movies.

Proof that it's not the people who disliked The Last Jedi that are the true toxic Star Wars fans: JJ Abrams is receiving death threats from "Reylo" fans because he killed Kylo Ren. We also have people triggered Rey didn't "stand up to her abuser".Some people are actually traumatized by this film and it's not being said in a joking way, note especially the tweet on the top left:
Then we have this:
And this:
Lol wtf these people are lunatics. One said they were "sobbing from hatred". Damn, "hate crying" is a new one for me.
😆
We truly need an asteroid.

Lucas only said Windu won the Saber battle right before the lightning clash. Lucas also outright confirms that when the Emperor starts getting weak that he was only feigning weakness. As shown right after with the Unlimited Powahhhh line.So that argument doesnt hold up IMO.
Yes it seems this trilogy was built on nostalgia targeting those 50year olds. I just dont see it creating a new generation of Star Wars fans on the level the OT or even the PT did.
Palpatine was using Anakin as a Force-Battery - that's why he said the "Ultimate power!" Line - otherwise the would have no reason to say that.
But yes, Lucas confirmed that Mace Windu did beat Palpatine - Palpatine was dying from having his Lightning redirected back into his own face.

At least Rian accomplished what he intended, he wanted to subvert expectations and he did. people were expecting a good movie and he gave them TLJ.Mission Accomplished.
JJ Abrams was the Executive Producer for ALL 3 movies.
It was JJ Abrams trilogy.
Rian Johnson was a decoy that was thrown under the bus to avoid making JJ look bad.

This is fake-hype created to create the illusion that somebody actually gave a shit about these garbage movies.
It's a bunch of celebrities pretending to be concerned and paid-posters posing as fanatics posting fake messages that would land them in jail in real life, if they were real.
It's fake.

1) Anakin as a battery? What?
2) He only confirmed he overpowered him in the Saber battle. He never stated who would have won the lightning clash if Palpatine did not feign weakness. Looking at the Rey vs Palpatine clash now, its possible they might have both died tbh.

To be fair, I doubt it was JJs plan to kill off Snoke.
Rian planned that, and Trevorrow was basing his Episode 9 on that. So getting rid of Trevorrow and bringing back Abrams at that point made this trilogy an inconsistent mess.
