Let us not get nuts here. You are basically acting like Ren is trash when his power levels are through the roof. Being trained by Luke and later by Snoke makes him having two of the most powerful teachers of all time teaching from two entirely different perspectives. Power scaling in this universe matters not just the fight choreography alone.

It's the most iconic fight scene of the entire franchise, as we have Luke and Vader first facing off and the big reveal that Vader is Luke's father and Luke losing his preferred jerking-off hand and all this happens in the best SW film to date.

But from an action and fight cinematography standpoint, it's rather slow paced.

Slow paced sure. But I'd say that's part of the appeal. It's more strategic and less frantic. The actual swings and clashes really aren't any slower then anything in the prequels.

It looks like shit today. I never saw the allure of the esb. The action did not become amazing until the prequels. Anakin and Kenobi vs. Dooku in the first 15 minutes of the movie was awesome. The final duel between Vader and Kenobi on Mustafar has so much built emotion due to Vaders actions by killing the kids/Vader believing Padme brought him just cemented the stakes. It was outstanding and even the Yoda/Sidious duel was awesome.

I like Yoda vs Sidious but am sorta ambivalent on the other two you mention. The Dooku fight is fine, but has little of note. And the Mustafar duel is pretty cool when it's on level ground but gets bogged down by all the extraneous stuff. I wasn't a fan of them swinging around on cables, balancing on beams, climbing towers, etc... The ending also sucked.

I do agree it went on for too long but it is still the best duel to date. In action sequences it is very important not to let them drag or become too repetitive. With all the emotion and betrayal along with the choreography it was my favorite. Rots has by far the best action of any Star Wars film.

😂 I don't like what they've done with Kylo.

He seems like a forced villain... Like he wants to make himself believe he is Dark and evil.

He doesn't seem authentic to me.. I hope they change that...Else he will remain as one of the worse villain in SWverse.

So Dooku would also stomp Maul and Ren right? I mean he was taught by Yoda AND Palpatine. Yoda being the oldest and wisest Jedi Master. Palpatine being the true villain of all 9 Episodes.

You really are dumb.

Maul was trained by one of the Masters that is above both Luke and Snoke and unlike Kylo he actually completed his training. Dooku also had two masters that were superior to Kylo (the strongest Sith and the strongest Jedi). If Kylo has any edge it's solely based in his potential

Exactly 👆

No need to make up dumb ass reasoning.

^ Yeah, very desperate. But At least they have accepted their own made villains have been completely lame. So best to go back to real Star Wars villains.

Bringing back Sidious just undoes Anakin's sacrifice. What was the point of that chosen one prophecy if Rey is the one who ulitmately destroys the Sith? Such BS.

No matter what they do the toxic fans complain. I suggest not watching it then. This trailer was amazing. Just the limited shots we get it all comes to a close. Ren is going to tear shit up.

Of course I won't watch it. I skipped TLJ and Solo too. I'll wait for a good torrent like I did with the previous installments. And there's nothing toxic about not liking bad movies, which spit on the lore and characters from the previous trilogies.

I torrented Solo, glad I did. Wish I had with TLJ.

Did you torrent Rogue one?

Rogue One was defo worth watching on the big screen.

Quan to this day shits on the OT and supports the ST which for some reason is fine. Yet when its the other way around it suddenly becomes toxic fandom. I think he quit trying to make sense a while ago.

Definitely don't regret watching Solo on the big screen either, especially with the low expectations I had going in, but was worth it even though the movie failed due to post-TLJ backlash and things.

It's a toxic fandom regardless but at least here we mostly all have different interesting views on what the best lightsaber fights were, I guess.

ESB without question for me, Luke went in as the underdog and actually put up a good fight. TPM is a close second that was only let down by a shitty ending to the fight, seriously Kenobi was slower than errosion jumping out of that pit.

Dooku does not have the skywalker blood nor was he referred to as powerful as Solo was. He was just a replacement if you believe he has any sort of power comparable to Skywalkers you need to actually just admit you never comprehended Star Wars.

Yoda was a failure he admitted it himself. Sidious will also fail again. Cannot wait till the new characters get him.

😂

Ah so youre quickly changing your argument to the Skywalker Bloodline after 2 people called you out on how retarded your argument was and to switch to his potential.

Good boy. Listen more often.

Snoke and Luke were more powerful than Sidious. Even Sidious Agreed Vader would greatly outclass yoda and himself had he not gotten assraped by Kenobi. Kylo does complete his training Snoke outright says it. Look you are not that familiar with these films it is fine but unlike you I actually love TLJ.

Sidious own words referring to Skywalker as being greater than either yoda and Sidious sink your own battleship. Luke was fearful of Ben and Reys power. Sidious made himself vulnerable to Luke just to recruit him he was that powerful. Skywalkers are a big deal in Star Wars. Maul while being skilled and determined never had the potential of the Skywalker blood. Kylo is the most accomplished Skywalker to date. To act as if Maul stomps him is one of the most ignorant statements I recall hearing in a while.

You did not listen to my entire argument. Rens power is through the roof and unlike Vader he was not burnt and crippled never having achieved it. Read through my entire argument unlike you I actually grasp Star Wars. I am always right, kiddo.

Ren is going to be a beast in episode 9. Cannot wait.

Adding more content does not spit on the lore of the previous installments. You are stuck in the past so it is ok like D. Thor to admit your hatred of current Star Wars. I love it personally but you two just love the Ots. At least you admit it. I will be there opening night to see episode nine and support this beloved franchise of mine.

Very toxic indeed. None of the fans own perspectives represent what Star Wars is and will become. Even the past directors and actors cannot stand most of the vile I hate you fans. Some even attacked Finn in the beginning for being a black stormtrooper. There are still great fans like us but the louder I hate star wars now people like Psychotron and D. Thor give it a bad name. They openly want it to fail and cheer it on. Disgusting.

Opinions will vary on lightsaber fights but that is ok as long as you do not get if you do not like what I did you are not a true fan nonsense from the D. Thors of the world. This if you do not agree with my opinion nonsense is truly toxicity and it needs to stop. Just enjoy or do not but try not to badmouth others if you do not enjoy the current films.

I'm really hoping that they don't screw this up considering it's the end of the whole Skywalker movies. With Abrams directing I think there's hope that it does go right but you never know.
