Trump does negative newsworthy shit on the constant so how is that doing harm if it's fucking accurate? Again, the "real harm" is talking about... the real harm, just like the left are the "real racists." This shit is tiresome.

Why wouldn't the shit that one of the most powerful and influential figures in the world does NOT end up being massive stories a large portion of the time? He's the POTUS.

What about this isn't resonating? Again, you're talking about the "hysteria" that's doing the "real damage" but most sane people would say the real damage is the government spreading misinformation on purpose.

Most sane people would say the damage being done by the government is wrong and the damage being done by this hysteria is wrong. That is certainly what I am saying.

You are just ADDING to the problem, not helping.

Hysteria. 24/7. We are being bombarded with this shit. Accusations of nazis, fascism, hitler, and who the hell else knows. Claims of treason(something punishable by death here).

I think this entire thing is just as dangerous as anything any other country can do to us. People are unhinged. Mob violence is now becoming something you hear about more and more it seems.

Again, though, now you're just repainting. These are accusations and they aren't always poignant or even accurate. Fair enough. However, you continue to bring this up in the company of us discussing how Trump denied something that there's strong evidence for and his administration literally trying to alter the public record and spread disinformation like what a genuine fascist government would do. So, yeah, these comparisons are not as "hysterical" as you seem to believe, is all I am telling you, and they're in no way as bad as what the alt-right and the Trump administration engage in.

Yeah, of course people assume Trump colluded, especially with what's being investigated and how inconsistent/dishonest he is. Why wouldn't someone reasonably assumed he could've been involved in the 2016 election interference?

It's false equivalencies and absurdities abound with you and I'm not getting anywhere. At all.

Just wow. You seem unhinged lady. This is disturbing news indeed, but no it is still not Kristallnacht. Jesus.

If you could point me to who said that this was Kristallnacht...

You were just arguing that these comparisons are not are hysterical as I might want to believe. The comparisons I have been mentioning are Pearl Harbor and Kristallnacht.

This needs to be made abundantly clear: there is cause for alarm, but it does not come close to things like Pearl Harbor, etc. Period. So yes, those specific kinds of comparisons are still indeed hysteria, is what I'm saying. If you agree? Good.

Imo, a lot of the divide in your country is being caused by foreign interference. Social media is being used as a tool to destabilize your country and draw lines in the sand.

In 20 years, people will be writing about what is happening in the USA right now as textbook foreign sabotage through social media. I HOPE the U.S. can come out of this stronger than before.

I think you guys desperately need a leader to unite the people. I'm not trying to start an argument here or anything, but I think Trump is constantly attempting to divide the country on purpose. He knows how to trigger people, and I think he wants a weaker US.

He's also an idiot, and Putin would have him assassinated in a heart beat if it could further his needs.

So, again, the quote was that Trump denying that Russia meddled in the 2016 election with Putin will "go down in infamy" like those other events, not that this was necessarily comparable to Pearl Harbor or the Kristallnacht. So, you taking someone out of context is cause for alarm and you're discussing this and saying it has the capacity to overshadow...

Dude, need I say it again?

EVEN if your context was THE actual context, it still wouldn't overshadow or should not come near what the Trump administration's been doing. There's no way out of this, Surtur. The position is untenable.

Except no it won't go down in infamy like those other things, that is something a lunatic says and you are trying to defend it.

And it's one example of hysteria.

Yeah, okay. If you think she's incorrect? Fair enough. Being incorrect about a comparison might be a just a tiny bit distant from a government officially spreading disinforma...

No, not again.

No probs. I'm hysterical and a lunatic. lol no worries

Stop being so polarized guys. This is the POINT. It's what Russia wants.

One more time: it was just one example of the hysteria we see surrounding Trump. This behavior is not stopping the government from spreading misinformation. It just makes a bad situation worse.

And yep, you do seem unhinged. Sorry.

Jesus.

The new Trump Admin spin is that Russia doesn't want Trump to win and they're going to interfere in the upcoming elections to help the Democrats. So cutting out Putin's support is just part of that spin. The Cult of Trump will eat it up.

"I'm very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don't want Trump!" -Trump via Twitter 07/24/2018

Russia wants what Surtur represents, not someone like myself who's openly resisting that. Realistically, I'd imagine Russia enjoys the division to some extent but they'd prefer if I agreed with Surtur's positions. I assume they want their influence and involvement cloaked.

You still haven't explained how, though. How is complaining really badly about a reeeeeallly bad situation making that situation worse? Wouldn't distractions from the actual issue at hand "make it worse," like with what you're doing?

No, it's not directly stopping them but exposure and outrage to this kind of flagrant corruption and disinformation is important, no? I'd like to know why you don't seem to value that.

Because it tends to cause people to tune out the important stories.

Instead we focus on Stormy Daniels or Michael Cohen. Because all the outrage looks the same now.

I'd say the division is equally wanted and the RoO is correct, but that doesn't make you incorrect either.

The more someone like you goes "Trump is literally lying to your face consistently and Russian meddling is a huge issue on a global scale", someone like Surtur will go "nah, nah, nah, you're just suffering from Trump derangement!"

Yeah, but, it seems like some people aren't. Please tell me why these people consistently happen to be on the left, Surtur.

Cuz they whine about every single thing Trump does, would be my guess.

Okay. Why?

"Russia wants their influence cloaked" like I'm saying we should ignore what Russia does because some people in this country behave like utter lunatics over Russia. Except that is not what has been said.
