I thought GL's had auto shields to prevent fatal accidents. I know none was shown in that scan but that would explain why Guy didn't die on the first punch.

That's why Beast can last more than a panel with WWH. Why Batman hangs with GoW WW, without his Batsuit. Why Blue Beetle isn't turned into a puff of red mist. Why Catwoman can tag Flash.

And why Cheetah can tag Superman 🙂 All you're doing is proving me right.

Don't you argue against WWH being stronger based upon Wolverine and the rest though? I mean if that's simply another instance of you using Carver's logic against him than that's fine, but the whole "writers want sexy fights" thing should apply to Hulk too if you genuinely believe he wasn't a lot stronger than ever before as was repeatedly stated throughout the story.

His suit had no power left and his forcefield was gone, all stated on panel.

Well...

Thing was said to be growing stronger with age, under Millar's pen. So that version of Grimm was technically > all past versions (sans the ones with crazy amps, like No-Thing or perhaps the Pineapple incarnation).

And Hulk was in a terrible shape when he fought him.

DoS DD hit vulnerable Booster at least 3-4 times, kinda the same shit that happened to Guy.

Sure, using rl logic, any of those strikes should've completely pulverized them, but... y'know, magic of comics prevents that from happening.
