Darth Vader - Comic Book Thread

Yep. All that hype and Momin's "newly reborn" body was killed by a weakened Vader. His helmet appears to have endured, though, so I'm sure that will play *some* sort of role in the future.

I liked Momin's dialogue -- his perspective on the dark side is quite intriguing, imo. Vader's dialogue left something to be desired, though.

It's more Momin's last bit of dialogue that kinda seems..eh.

Please tell me that Disney's Extended Universe takes place in an alternate timeline/reality.

There is no 'EU' in Disney... It's all part of the same canon.

The Vader in this comic series IS the Vader in Rebels, IS the Vader in Thrawn: Alliances, IS the Vader in ESB, etc.

That sucks. Any no-movie Vader>movie Vader. Why they do it? Cursed be inconsistency.

All huge lore is gonna have inconsistency.

Not when you have serious writers.

Different writers(even the good ones) are going to have different takes on the same character(s), and therefore might portray them much differently.

That is why you need canons.

Geez and people say Legends was too exaggerated

Legends was dumb(er).

Darth Vader #24 (2/2):

Some, eh, pretty good feats from Vader there... Also looks like Vader will attempt to pass through the veil in the final issue.

I wonder what he'll encounter when he goes through the gateway?

Also, you think Sidious foresaw all of this? I ask because Momin's comment that he was hording knowledge from Vader.

This looks like a comic book made solely for kids.

Another Vader mini is in the works...

The fallen Jedi has been a symbol of power, a villainous commander, and a Sith warrior. But in 2019, a new limited comic series explores a side of Vader that neither fans nor the galaxy have ever seen before.

Star Wars: Vader - Dark Visions will take readers to the darkest parts of the galaxy - places where the mysterious anti-hero known as Darth Vader can be someone's greatest fear and even...someone's greatest hope!

The limited series begins with a story that will shed a new light on the many sides of the galaxy's greatest villain. Don't miss Star Wars: Vader - Dark Visions in comic shops this March!

I mean the art is nice, but it looks...so out of place imo.

It looks like a reference to LotR. I like it.
