Soule confirms that everything Vader saw behind the veil were fixed events -- not just possibilities/tricks:
"What he realizes in issue 25, and it was a very pointed choice to not show possibilities, everything he's seen is stuff that's already happened... What's the point of doing anything other than this? This is all there is for me."The big thing that he realizes, the thing that he says 'yes' to is that he's trapped. That he knows that there's no other path for him, he sees where his path is leading: that vision on the last couple pages...this figure with a blue lightsaber waiting down the road for him."
So yeah, Palpatine being responsible for Anakin's creation could indeed be wholly rooted in fact.
Vader 25 suggests Palpatine MM'd Anakin
Originally posted by JaggarathYeah, I thought it was interesting that his astral form would use a unique brand of force lightning against the Palpatine construct(something Anakin/Vader has NEVER used, or likely even practiced), instead of the saber-esque melee weaponry that he used against the Jedi constructs moments prior.
I wonder if the Vader we saw is Vader's body unburdened by machinery. They even give him the Son's lightning.
Perhaps it was indeed the dark side's way of showing Vader the power he could have had "if"... mmm
I'm pretty surprised that everyone's been liking this comic series, tbh. The art is garbage and they're the exact same stories we've gotten in every single Darth Vader comic ever.
> New Jedi magically survives Order 66.
> Vader engages them, somewhat struggles but ultimately still wins.
> Some ominous ending statements from Sheev.
Rinse and repeat until wealthy.

Eh I'm not really liking it all that much compared to his first series tbh. I found the old Purge series to be a little better with the hunting down Jedi aspect.
