I don't think it does contradict ESB. It seems Aphra only hits at the location by saying "dress warm" and doesn't actually tell Vader the location is Hoth.

It does re-contextualize the scene in ESB when Vader claims that base is on Hoth though and, IMO, not in a good way. Originally, it seems Vader realizes Hoth is the correct system via the Force; this comic reveals Vader realizes Hoth is the correct system via Aphra's clue. That's lame. The former is far cooler and gives the Force more mystique.

Yeah, Aphra definitely knows that the base is on Hoth specifically, but she didn't outright tell Vader in that message.

But like you said, now we know that Vader didn't use the force to prophesy the base's location or w/e. Now we know that when one of the Empire's probe droids was activated on Hoth during ESB, Vader was basically thinking to himself: "Hoth=ice planet... So that must totally be what Aphra was talking about when she told me to 'dress warm'!!!"

I don't like that at all, as it cheapens the scene in ESB immensely. Thank god there is only one more issue left in this terrible series. 😬
