Expanding on Robs point. MCU Eternals seem to be extremely advanced synthoids/AI constructs similar to, but much more advanced than Vision, shown when I believe Ajak was shown getting a power core inserted into her chest and then "activating" for the first time. So their prime directive was probably "Only protect humanity from Deviants".

Not sure if they're pure synthetic like Vision. But genetically engineered beings enhanced with technology. Maybe you're right though, did the trailer mention that none of them died in the snap?

Either way, there's going to be some "finding our humanity" angle to the plot. Which is a common theme in scifi.

Amazing trailer.

Looks like the Celestials are galaxy level.

I admit the trailer looks good, looks imaginative. But it also still looks like pretty standard, stock Marvel fare.

Clearly they're trying to reboot the Marvel universe post-Thanos.

Yeah they're some sort of technorganic as their bodies are for all intents and purposes human enough that Dane Whitman/Black Knight can date Cersei(and presumably have sex)and had no idea she wasn't human until she started explaining about the Eternals to him.

I don't think then surviving the Snap was mentioned, but Ikaris and Ajak talked about it happening and all of them except the little redhead girl are present in the current time. So it doesn't appear to have hit any of them, but something may have happened to her in those 7,000 years between then and now.

I hope the great machine is in it. It is the eternsls best plot device by far.

The Celestial looked cool at least

Looked like Galactus.

Should have gone Fox style and just made all the Celestials different colour clouds.

arishem looks fracking awesome

lol...people acting like thats the first Celestial that they've seen on screen in the MCU.

Interest rose a few levels on this new trailer.

Nice.

I'm really looking forward to this film, especially after I learned that it was he who fully opens a new era in the MCU, and also some references that were in the series about Loki will be revealed

So this is generally getting ripped as being poor.

Seems divisive. Marvel execs can't be happy about the reception. Think they were expecting it to be something of a critical darling.

They probably should have cast people who aren't shit at acting.

Has to be a first for Marvel. Well since TIH at least.

And yeah does seem like Marvel had high expectations for this.

I wonder if it's due to the cost. It can't have been cheap to make, especially after casing at least a couple of reasonably well-known actors in it too. Or did Jolie and Hayek take pay cuts, I wonder.

You need people who actually know how to pick talent for that.

I suspect most of the people who actually know what they're doing have retired, or moved on, leaving us with backstabbing career climbing know nothings. Think an army of Kathleen Kennedy's instead of Martin Scorsese's.
