Saw it. Liked it.

So why exactly rottentomatoes loves to wank almost every MCU film, but not this one?

What's the deal?

Finally went and saw..

my brother would have loved this, as for me, i liked it..

the story was easy, the cgi was nice.. great hearing richard mdden speak is his natural voice.. can't wait until the sequel

Well, there's a video somewhere that says that Quill will somehow find a way to reactivate his powers, therefore be unstoppable later on.

Based upon his feats in gotg2 with his dad's powers there would be plenty that could still stop him.

Just watched this. Not bad but a mid tier Marvel flick.

Neil Gaiman had no trouble making Deviants interesting villains in comics.

But MCU botched it up worse than h1 does his miscalculations.

Shame, really.

At least Celestials were done proper.

I saw it in the theater opening week, it's somewhere between meh to okay. The Celestials did look great.

I'll probably watch it one more time to show some friends, but then never again.

Ugh, I'm kind of dreading watching this, but feel I should out of some sort of cinephile obligation.

It didn't looks very good from the previous.

Is it going to be awful?

Fixed.

Jesus, I was drunk apparently.

Yeah they were wasted as the villains..

At least Celestials were done proper.

James Gunn had a better design of them imo, After all Eson the searcher was in the first GOTG movie

as for this movie, Not sure if i'll rushing out to watch it again anytime soon.

This was ok...

Action scenes were kinda cool but none of the characters were interesting for me it felt kinda soulless for me...

Native speakers in the whole US rape the English language in thousands of ways, especially online, and you're losing it because you made a single typo and that little "previous" instead of "previews" mistake? 😂

You're posting on KMC. 50% posters here can't even type their name.

Relax a little.

😂

Yeah, I blame autocorrect on my phone keyboard.

On a brighter note I'm about halfway through this and am enjoying it more than I expected. The first 45 minutes was unnecessarily dragged out to repeat over and over a single plot point (the Deviants are back!), so the runtime is not justified at all yet, but I do plan to finish. I can see why it's not going to be a massive Marvel fan favorite, but I do at least give Marvel some credit for taking somewhat of a risk with it. And it seems a very big gamble considering it's meant to reinvigorate the MCU post-Thanos.

Oh, and I didn't find the explanation for why they didn't intervene with the Thanos situation very convincing. He was an existential threat to the entire UNIVERSE. It seemed perfectly appropriate to intervene.

So yeah, that was dumb to me, but whatever... silly Marvel...

So disobey a bunch of space gods and get disciplined for it, Great idea.

There is much more to it than just that. You would know if you could finish the film in one sitting 😛

Silly Leech... 😉

And Eternals are not heroes. They are

Spoiler:
artificial beings doing what they're told to do. It takes them a whole movie to disobey Celestials and even then they are not unanimous, far from it.

Then you have to consider the nature of Thanos himself. Which is a problem in itself.

👆

The movie and its ending gave us many questions.

Like the appearance of

Spoiler:
Starfox
. So, are MCU Titans also Eternals like their comic counterparts or not really?

Remains to be seen. Perhaps they'll retcon it once more in comics now, too.

I'm sure they'll change

Spoiler:
Starfox
....Him wanting to sleep with every woman doubt that's gonna go down well these days.

We've had some womanizers already in MCU, so one more shouldn't make a difference, even in this SJW-era.

Toning him down a bit, sure. Likely to happen.

But I repeat, I could totally see

Spoiler:
Titans getting retconned into being non-Eternals, just like Pietro and Wanda were retconned into being non-mutants. This one is gonna be easy, actually - seeing how *originally* Titans weren't said to be Eternals.

Didn't think the movie was as terrible as some, but I didn't particularly like it either.

Arishem was amazing, though. Gives me hope that a live action Galactus can finally be done right. 👆

Who here thought that Ma Dong-Seok character and Benedict Wong were the same person. lol He is the guy from Dr. Strange.

Yeah at first. Then I recognized the swagger from HK movies

i wonder if thanos snap wiped out half of the celestials at first?

Saw it. I gave feeling many who enjoyed the VFX in theatres would be disappointed when they see it in the small screen.

Overall I found this movie quite boring.

Spoiler:
Salma Hayak was wasted as she
barely has any scenes and gets killed off. Makes you wonder what was the pointbofvthe Gender Flipped Race Lift, unless it was to simplynlet her fullfill hercdesire of being in a big franchise.
I am a but partial to
Spoiler:
Ma Dong so his
character getting killed off halfway also ticked me off.
Icarus was cool,
Spoiler:
but killing him off they threw away a good redemption plot and his suicide was too OTTP to be taken seriously.

Sersi's powers could have been better utilized. She is also a big bore unlike comics Sersi who was the fun of the party.
The Indian guy and his assistant comedy royally irritated me, and that Bollywood dance sequence in his intro was cringe, especially since he can't dance for shit, especially compared to the extras. And I had thought a similar sequence in LOT was bad. However, he did well in the serious scenes.
Makkari being gender swapped wouldn't have bothered me, but her personality has a marked change from the comics I've read, not to mention they went overboard in the woke department with, being black, Mexican and deaf. Atleast she was a thorough badass.
Sprite is pretty unknown so I couldn't care less about the gender flip. And the less said about her motives the better. I nean, how did the SJWs allow it?
Phastos being gay and black was okay, but what bothered me was the unrealisticness in his husband being Arab. Seriously, of all the people he hooked up with, what are the chances of that? Another overboard woke stuff.
Makes me wonder if this compensating for killing off
Spoiler:
an Asian and Latina

Ikarus and Sersi's sex scene came out of the blue, with the terrible chemistry between them making it worse. And when I heard it was in regards to complaints of the sexless life of the leads, I was dumbfounded. Seriously, these are superhero movies, not rom-coms for regular sex scenes.
Druig suddenly went from pessimistic to gung ho about Sersi's plan.
Hopefully Oswald Patton would do a better job next time,
Spoiler:
because he failed to bring Pip the Troll's charm in the 1st post credits scene.

That voice at the end of the last post credit scene had me squeeing though! 🎵🎵""Plays Junkie XL"""🎶🎶
