Star Wars: Ages (comic series)

Jango Fett:

Seemed more about little Boba than Jango.

Would prefer some pure Jango Fett.

Pumped for the Special, get to see more Mace and Asajj.

Evidently the Special is going to have 4 separate stories: a Mace story, a Asajj story, a Jar Jar story, and a Captain Rex story:

THE GREATEST HEROES OF THE REPUBLIC, THE DEADLIEST VILLAINS -- AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN! FOUR CREATIVE TEAMS! FOUR STORIES FEATURING YOUR FAVORITE STAR WARS CHARACTERS! The baddest Jedi in the galaxy has a score to settle -- MACE WINDU returns in an action-packed adventure from OLD MAN HAWKEYE'S Ethan Sacks! You can run, but can you hide from the twin lightsabers of Sith assassin ASAJJ VENTRESS? Feel her fury in a tale expertly woven by veteran STAR WARS comic scribe Jody Houser (THRAWN, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS). And is JAR JAR BINKS' role in the Star Wars story over? NOT BY A LONG SHOT! Because Chip Zdarsky (PETER PARKER: THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN and MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE) has a rancor bone to pick with the galaxy's most notorious Gungan. You can take the clone out of the war but you can never take the war out of the clone -- CAPTAIN REX dusts off his blaster and enters the fray in a story by X-MEN: GOLD author Marc Guggenheim.

So it doesn't sound like we'll get a confrontation between Mace and Asajj, like the original solicits made it sound.

I'm a little sad, seeing the Komari Vosa/Jango Fett origin story become overwritten. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was one of my favorite games as a kid.

This is outrageous.

This is really chugging along. From some surface reads everything seems alright. Nothing offensive like the Sequels. I'll give it an in depth look over when it's almost done

A friggin Jar Jar story...

All the issues have actually been pretty solid thus far.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing/sickening that Jar Jar is going to get as much 'issue time' as Mace and Asajj, lol.

I don't understand why they're trying to keep this character relevant. We already know what happens to him after RotJ, ffs -- he becomes little more than a court jester with dementia/alzheimers... No one cares.

Which part? mmm

A little early, but here is a checklist for the 'Age of Rebellion' issues:

And here are solicits/previews for the first 3 issues...

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion - Princess Leia #1, with art by Chris Sprouse, arrives April 3; set following the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the story tells of how Leia prepares for the rescue of Han Solo by taking on the identity of bounty hunter Boushh, and must earn the trust of Bossk.

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion - Grand Moff Tarkin #1, illustrated by Marc Laming, hits shelves on April 10 and explores how the Imperial mastermind ensures that the Death Star lives up to its name.

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Special #1 lands April 10, featuring three stories starring characters both iconic and lesser known: writer Si Spurrier and artist Caspar Wijngaard tell a tale of droid bounty hunter IG-88; a Yoda story set during the Jedi Master's exile on Dagobah comes courtesy of writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Andrea Broccardo; and writer/artist Jon Adams focuses on rebel pilots Biggs Darklighter and Jek Porkins.

Im guessing Jar Jar with a Saber?

Probably, because that shit was phucking dumb... Even if it was only short-lived.

Kinda all of it, I dunno. Was expecting more, but yeah that was really...no.

Anakin Skywalker:

The Tarkin cover is neat. I would pick some of these only for their cover art.
