Wow I didn't realize that there are some states with only one member of the house of representatives, I thought they all had multiple.
So by my estimation, the GOP will end up with 53-55 senate seats. That's fairly significant, but in the end Trump's legislative agenda is finished. With a democratic house he will be unable to attempt a repeal the ACA again, the wall is gone, and pretty much everything else he wants to do besides maybe infrastructure is not in the cards.
If Trump was smart (he's not) he would make sincere attempts to work with the dems on infrastructure and figure out ways to actually improve the health care in this country without sacrificing the extremely popular and necessary protections the ACA brought along, which could end up actually making him a lot more popular with all these suburban people who revolted against him tonight and gave the house to the dems, rather than continuing to ***** and moan about scary mexicans.
So now that the wall is pretty much assured to not happen I wonder I people will calm down a bit and just wait out Trump's term for the next two years provided there isn't anything else extreme.
By that time I hope that both parties...or even an Independent candidate can make changes so that there's an election to at least pretend to look forward to.

Lol what country have you been living in? Democrats will try to obstruct now more than ever. We will have endless trials, the country will be divided more because they are *still* butthurt over 2016.
There was no blue wave here(even CNN has admitted this) and what they wanted(and expected) was a blue wave.

Imagine lacking enough self-awareness to be assblasted by the opposing party doing obstructionism when your party did the exact same thing when it was in power for like 6 years.
Imagine being you and talking about others lacking self awareness.
But your "No you!" has been noted.

I'd love to see what holes you can poke in any statements or claims I've made. I'll wait.
Easily: I've admitted before that Republicans have obstructed in the past, including the Garland thing.
Your response acts like I'm oblivious to this, I am not. Do better next time.
Yep, Dems really had no real shot at the Senate, this map was ridiculously favorable for the gop, at this point the dems just need to halt the bleeding for potential gains in 2020, which is more favorable to them.
Still, Trump's agenda is largely DOA now, and there is now checks and balances upon his presidency, he'll have to adjust to avoid being a lame duck. Also this provides protections for Mueller, for if Trump were to fire Mueller, the Democratic house could simply rehire him and he could continue his investigation until completion.
On the flip side, with the GOP expanding their majority in the Senate they will have an easier time appointing judges and what not.
