This is why your loyalty should be to characters, not companies. That way, you can be happy if even one of them is handled well.

Most of my characters haven't been handled well since the 90's. Thor, I think, since the 70's.

whatever happened in the 90s and early 00s doesn't matter to what's happening now. that was the low point of darkseid's comic career. every character who stick around long enough have those time periods, that was when jobberseid was originated

since final crisis, darkseid has gotten significant push, and he will receive another push very soon
