SB/FC Superman lifts infinite weights, sings abstracts out of existence, his HV overpowers Darkseid's singularity [which groups of other heroes were trying to do and weren't able to], tanks explosions which turn Shazam back into a kid unharmed etc. It's not even close, really.
👆

And that's without getting into the whole "Superman has the most powerful story in this entire damn company...to the point where upper dimensional thought-forms modeled an infinitely powerful robot after him eons ago, in preparation for his multiversal/multidimensional battle against one of the most powerful villains in comics...and therefore can overcome absolutely ANY threat" side of things...

I'm surprised how much I've been enjoying Doomsday Clock. I really didn't expect to.
It's something I'll go back and marathon read after the event has wrapped up. Feel like it will be more enjoyable that way, because the first handful of issues came off as really slow and uneventful by themselves at first, imo... Especially with the ridiculous delays we've had with the series and whatnot.

I definitely like how Johns is writing Manhattan, though. Really shows you how...complicated his perception of time is, and how distant/isolated he has become from the rest of creation.

seems like secret wars was the only good big event marvel produced in the last several years

Hickman Wars was so bad, Hickman wanted to kill himself after writing it.

So did Cul get depowered after Fear Itself?

Stop wanking each other off, and answer me!!!!

*sigh*

Have you seen him turning into a f*cking Serpent after FI?

Or doing anything close to breaking Cap's shield?

But I don't recall any on panel statement about him being weakened... mainly because nobody - including Marvel - cares enough to elaborate on Cul.

In All-Star Superman, Morrison wrote Superman to be more powerful than he is under normal circumstances. So Morrison's normal Superman should be a bit under that.

In theory, this is true. In practice, not really. And just to be clear: if you do subscribe to the simple notion that AS Superman > Morrison canon Superman, that just means that he scales to all of Morrison canon Superman's insane feats.

The problem with Superman is that his powers aren't particularly versatile compared to the Silver Surfer, and when you get to that level the ability to punch really hard loses its significance.

Nonsense, tell that to Thanos lol.

Alberto, not Albert. He's not of Germanic origin.

The rest of his name you can find in his username, allowing you to stalk him on social media sites.

#NotAStiltJokeThisTime

LOL you have way too much time on your hands.

I plan to do the same once it's all done to catch anything I might have missed. For me it's a definite return to form for Johns too. His last really good work (that I read at least) was his New52 run on Aquaman, so I'm glad to see him back at something approaching his best.

People still treat him as only universal despite he hasn't been affected by any change to metaverse since Golden Age 💃

We don't even know the full scale/scope of Jon's power yet. Not even close.

He altered the universe/Metaverse *just* to trigger a multiversal Crisis event *just* so he could watch the story of Superman unfold firsthand. And he did this with no apparent effort at all.

Aside from that all we really know about his power is that Mxy evidently fears it, which is quite something in itself given what Mxy can do...

Other member informed me about it, actually.

Also, you're a Superman fag, that basically means you should take your own life 👆
