If you were worshipping Captain Cold or Reverse Flash or even Grodd that I could understand. But boomerangs are one of the lamest thing even by the standards of Flash's villains

At least you have some surface explanations for Captain Cold hitting Flash

Im actually too lazy to re-read the older comics with Kindreds hints about his/her true identity but I thought it was set in stone now that it was Harry.

It was, but Marvel (or DC) can retcon everything and anything if they really want to.

That being said. I doubt it's the real Gwen. Probably a copy or some other character pretending to be her.

Let's wait.

Wasn't it revealed (after like 2-3 decades) that the Clone Saga Jackal was a clone?

Literally anything is possible.

Hell, they even considered making Uncle Ben a pedo once. But it didn't happen (thankfully).

If we look at the event itself, then yeah, it was pretty solid.

The implication is that pretty much every noteworthy "big evil" in DC is thirsting over the GEB's power -- so Darkseid, The Empty Hand + Gentry, The UpsideDown Man, Eclipso, Nekron, etc. A war between them all could be quite something.

That said, I'm not a huge fan of The Empty Hand and The Gentry being involved here, because if anyone aside from Morrison is writing them, I have no doubt they'll be shat upon... But that's just me being nitpicky.

Indeed.

The yearly Crisis events are tiresome. DC is going the same route as Dragon Ball, where they are constantly upping the ante and introducing more powerful threats. The next major event, for example, is evidently going to be omniversal in scope/scale, so where in the fook do they go from there?

...Bankruptcy, I can only hope. /shrug

Other writers missed the point of the GEB. And of Alan Moore and Morrison cosmology.

Alan Moore had this big bad, and these big fights, and ended the scene with a talk.

And hack writers got from it was "Oooh powerful."

The moments where GEB talks with various DC icons is far more interesting than the cosmic throwdowns we're seeing now.

is flash running so fast that he is catching up to himself? 😕

Da hell does that even mean "catching up to yourself"

It's a metaphor for how Flash is always taking one step forward, ten steps back.

It means experiencing an orgasm exactly when you ejaculate.

Our old bodies can't do that right, my dear.

On a serious note, that's actually my main problem with Flash or Speedsters in general. Aside from other Speedsters their villains shouldn't have shit on them, Flash could literally search earth in less than a minute and throw his non-speedster villain roster into prison before they even know whats going on.

Pretty much. Speed is incredibly broken, along with intelligence.

As opposed to what, ten minutes later driving on the highway?

Would explain why elderly are such bad drivers.

As opposed to having major prostate and urinating problems.

And experiencing orgasm earlier/later or not at all, yes.

Is it 100% confirmed to be GEB?
If so, I guess it somewhat make sense that it would need to be GEB
He is the as close as you can get to having the source’s power without actually taking it?

That said, like you said, not a fan that they practically including everyone in this event…every big evil.
What’s left after that

Spectre was bullshiting when he said he could've stop GEB, we saw GEB stalemating the Presence

Spectre's little ego couldn't handle it

That wasn't the Spectre talking, it was his boss.

Yes, It basically confirmed that GEB is the ultimate power every big bad is chasing now

And for the power upping part, I personally feel it indifferently. Comics arent manga. It usually dont have distinct line that separates each level.

So I actually feel it is no different from OWAW or COIE or Death Metal etc. Just another heroes together overcoming the impossible odds and defeating the big bad story 'shrug'

You don’t think The great darkness could imply something else?

I thought they are interchangeable? At least GEB was referred as The Great Darkness a few times

But who knows. Maybe the writer was referring other entity there since this is bit metaphorical reference/name

Itd be nice if DC would take a breather and do more character development. Event fatigue is real

Infinite Frontier was pretty solid. I'm not sold on the great darkness being GEB, but it could.

Not 100% confirmed, no. Could certainly be something else.

But GEB would make the most sense(if they are recycling), given that it was originally touted to be the equal and opposite of the Presence: "[God's] shadow-partner, locked in endless fight"... And considering DC is upping the stakes to fully omniversal in the next event/Crisis, the baddies trying to attain a power equal to that of the Presence would make sense.

Aside from that, GEB was more commonly referred to as "The Darkness" or "The Primordial Darkness" in the original issues. And since Darkseid is lusting over said power here, adding "Great" to its name gives DC a perfect opportunity to call this "The Great Darkness Saga (part deux)" or some shit. /shrug

The Great DS. I like it

Not sure how EH or DS can steal or obtain the power of the GEB. If somehow DS does get it, that feat will be greater than Doom stealing Beyonder's power.

Why wouldn't Darkseid just snuff out the possible usurpers? Like he should definitely be powerful enough to kill guys like Eclipso, Nekron and maybe even Upside Down Man by himself. Kill them to limit your rivals. Why focus on anything else?
