😂

Serously though, the point applies to other characters. How does the general public seem to recognize Colossus is a mutant, yet no one thinks Hulk is?

I mean, aside from the obvious cases of self identifying as mutants, there's a whole public bigotry to consider. They always, always, always know who's mutant as soon as they see them and hate on them for it, yet there's a world of superpowered non mutants out there who never get targeted by the same anti-mutanism

It's simple. Because there exists in Marvel technology to spot mutants.

Which means if [insert character X] hasn't been outed as a mutant by now then the public can rest easy they're not.

I'm pretty sure early on, Spidey WAS mistaken for a mutant, so the X-Men had to come and say nope, not one of ours.

Amd shifting gears:

The Spider-Verse is stupid.

Peter Parker became Spidey by chance. Logically, it's way less likely for there to be alfernate universe Spidey's of different people like Gwen or even other Parker's, than it is to have multiple Wolverine's, because Logan was born with his powers.

It's like in Invincible how his kid brother simply does not exist in other universes, because the circumstances of his conception and birth were so specific and unlikely that they couldn't be repeated in other universes.

Same deal with Parker, his being bitter by a spider was a one in a million chance, lightning in a bottle. Even excepting there may be more alternate universe Peter Parkers, adding different people into the mix stretches suspension of disbelief way too much..

Ah, makes much more sense then.

The thing about the X-Men, is that just means he's not theirs. Unless the tests are non invasive, like scanners..

Come to think of it, I suppose that's how Sentinels work.

Plus, being an Avenger gives you a lot of cachet. Iirc when Beast became an Avenger ,not many in the Marvel U knew he was a mutant ,they just thought he was a mutate.

Plus.....I can't think of a mutant superhero who isn't part of one of the Xteams. So that would also point to Spidey not being a mutant (to the average Joe in the Street). Still, as I said, Spidey has and was believed to be a mutant in the past.

Vanguard, Darkstar, Ursa Major, etc.?

The Red Guard? I wouldn't class them as superheroes, especially as Vanguard was an Iron Man foe.

Darkstar was a part of X-Corp. An x-team.

Ursa Major also fought the Avengers and X-Men. So not quite superheroes (using the dichotomy of 'us good, them bad'😉.

WINTER GUARD

also known as Mungi Guard

See it this way, we only see the universes with all those unlikely outcomes the regular ones make up a number of something like 10^100000000 you just don't get to see any of them.

Yeah, try explaining things to cdtm.

Because that works every time.

Hey, they are superheroes of mother Russia. 😛

Molly Hayes is a mutant too, I think.

He might seem like a lost cause to you, but I'm making progress in teaching him things.

Radioactive decay can react with a thought so that the likelihood of alternate characters is real.

Same "progress" as DarkSaint has made with carvie and h1a8, resulting in making them even worse?

It was the Angstrom Levy thing that had me wondering about it. He saying he's never found Mark's half brother anywhere else, I kind of liked the idea that some things are so unique they simply don't repeat.

I suppose it's possible Angstrom Levy didn't see all the universes when he said he said that though. Or he was just insane and didn't know as much as he thought he did.

What's with the Dora Mileja everywhere you look?

Give me the gorilla boss, or the tiger suited guys, or even the T'challa like suit repurposed for women.

They picked the least interesting characters to represent Wakanda.

It's Dora Milaje and they aren't supposed to appeal to your demographic
