That was mostly Didio not Johns. Not everything Johns does is good but most of his past runs were solid

I mean, if we consider the things that get retconned as failures then DC would be full with those

😖hifty:

Geoff gave us DCnU, which failed so bad, it was retconned away... 😛

Obliterated is a better word 😂

Nothing counts in DC.

Wonder what this is.

Question for the Star Wars gurus ..if Anakin hadn't interfered how well do you think Mace would have done?

Mace was winning imo, so he would have killed the Emperor, I think.

That was my initial thought but he also wanted Anakin to come to the dark side Soni feel like he was feigning as well

So mjolnir is merged with the spirit of Mangog, Thor shatters his arm punching mjolnir and worthiness of mjolnir means destroying shit rather than being noble.

What a shitshow.

i thought of that too, maybe the emperor's plan to revive was ready and that when/if he dies there against mace then its still fine coz anakin will go to the dark side.

In the director's commentary for RotS, Lucas stated that Mace beat/overpowered Palpatine during their duel, and further stated that Palpatine only began feigning weakness after Anakin entered the room(which was after he'd been disarmed.) There are also a few sources implying that Mace could have potentially beaten him, etc.

So I think you could argue that Mace may have been the better duelist in that moment... But Palpatine was obviously far stronger in the Force.

wouldnt that showing also put mace above your beloved vader considering how easily sidious owned vader in the comics? 😈

Strangely enough, what with Shatter point etc, Mace is prob the more combat orientated of the two. Sidious had lightning, true, but Yoda and Kenobi showed a competent Jedi Master could deal with that.

Not at all.

Palpatine did own Vader effortlessly in Pak's run, but that was during the ESB-era... Some 20+ years after RotS. And it has been made abundantly clear that Palpatine spent that entire time further increasing his personal power by hoarding any and all Jedi/Sith knowledge he could get his hands on. IOW, ESB Palpatine was far more powerful than RotS Palpatine, and would likely dominate Mace with even less effort than he dominated Vader.

Samuel L. Jackson beat the living shit out of Lucas and made him change the script.

Honestly, that was a major change for the better.

Like he owned Vader in ROTJ?

Hey, does anyone know who Grimjack is?

Written by John Is granted in the 80's? Same time frame as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Mirage.

Vader was in "fully redeemed/protect my son" mode, and also caught Palpatine completely off-guard.
