Wasn’t GEB retconned to be an aspect of the presence? These writers running out of ideas and taking a page out of the “Supernatural” stories. After they defeat GEB, they are going to find that the light got corrupted and the heroes will then take on the presence/source next?

Yep, he was indeed retconned as being part of Presence.

Would be ok if retconned out tbh, never liked that idea, him being "The Original Darkness" that existed before The Presence flipped on the lights was his original intent (It's in his nick name even).
