This seems like a straight up ripoff of FC Darkseid.

Gave me The Empty Hand vibe.

Many cartoons from that time were excellent, but those two def deserve to be mentioned first.

Huge relief, btw. Was afraid for a second you jerked off to Superman or F4 shows.

Lol, no. Some of the other animated stuff of that era was decent, but Batman/X-Men/Gargoyles were just on a completely different level. The fact that ALL of those shows still hold up some 30 years later, speaks volumes about how good that actually are.

Well, Disney/Warner animation in general is kind of dead these days. Duck Dodgers was a middling show but its animation blows away everything these days.

Avatar the Last Airbender is probably closest to the modern Gargoyles in terms of an all around quality show.

Rewatching it now, on ep 3.

Did we ever see any other Gargoyles besides the main cast? Because I didn't notice any, and now I'm wondering who they smashed.

A few different Gargoyle colonies were shown during the Avalon saga.

Bloody hell, use spoiler tags 👇

Have reported you.

At the start I mean? When the betrayal happened and all the gargoyles get wrecked except for those in the hatchery.

Because far as I can see, they never show any other Gargoyles in action.

Liking the AI upscaled versions, very clean looking, and looks hd. I'm sure a videophile would find flaws though, they always do.

How is the one on Disney Plus? Is it 480p? Upscaled at all?

Need to admit I haven't seen Gargoyles.

Must be really good if you managed to convert DarkSaint mmm

It dropped a point for me.

I thought the police woman was Hispanic, and was like "AWESOME, you NEVER see Hispanic women in lead roles!" Shows how different Disney was too, everyone's a black woman now.

And then she was shot and her white father and black mother are at bedside.

lol, sorry. Didn't cross my mind to spolier tag a 30 year old show. 😛

Spoiler:
There were Gargoyle survivors all across the world.

That surprises me. Well if you get some free time, you should give it a watch. It's very much a 90s cartoon, but imo it still holds up just as well as Batman and X-Men.

Someone tried AI upscaling the show.

Interesting as a curiosity, just to see how it came out.

Found a similar thing for Megas XLR, another stellar show from the early 2k's which never got an hd version.

Stilt, go here.

Best way to watch the series, hilarious how Disney themselves couldn't be arsed to do this.

Just want to add, Gargoyles has a helicarrier.

And it's even better than a S.H.I.E.L.D. one.

Always thought it was hilarious how Goliath can take on an entire rom full of heavily armored troops and dance between bullets and lasers all night, yet

Spoiler:
an old and sick geriatric in a wheelchair somehow hits him dead on while firing from his arm chair. Yeah, I'm sure Goliath getting ambushed is why but is still funny.

On Macbeth's debut.

It's funny how I'm noticing a ton of flaws from what I remember as tight writing. For example, Brooklyn and Broadway grab onto the bars of an electric cage to siphon energy to Bronx can break out of his cage and get Goliath, and later Bronx comes running back on his own and barrels into their cage freeing him. Meaning it was pointless seeking Goliath as Bronx could have broken them out from the start, and that they never needed to weaken the electrical charge.

Or at the end of Awakenings, when Xanatos is arrested, I can't help but ask HOW?

How was there any proof of his theft? The Gargoyles can't act as witnesses, and Elisa didn't exactly have a warrent or proof, so how did she pin Xanatos's crimes on him?

Noticing a lot of little things like this, which is disconcerting because I'm an idiot who shoildn't notice the little things.

just shut up and enjoy the show for what it is, you dweeb. 😬
