No way?! You havent enjoyed the Krakoa era? Its the best thing to happen to the X-men since Morrison's New X-men! 😱
have you ever read the Many Coloured Land and following novels by Julian May GS. The Krakoa series shares some similarities. They are very good, a level up from most SciFi/Fantasy mash ups.

“Never the End.”

A universe of secrets is about to come to light.

Batman protects Gotham City from evil. Batman Inc. protects the rest of the known world. But what of the unknown world? What of the ancient evils in hidden tombs and forgotten tragedies from a magic-and-mad-sciencefueled super-heroic century? Using his fortune, Luke Fox launches a new organization dedicated to shining light into the world’s darkest corners.

His first recruit: Kate Kane, the Batwoman—who will re-embrace her military background to protect Luke’s dream and encounter every bit of strangeness the DCU has to offer. And just wait until you meet the Third Man…or learn what universe-shattering secret they’ve discovered buried under Antarctica. Outsiders is the return of comic book archaeology, digging into all the forgotten corners of DC’s history to preserve, record, and better understand the true nature of the DC Multiverse…and the forgotten stories that make up its fabric.

DC bringing back a Planetary style book.

Ratings???

I was responding to your post accusing me of second-guessing your intentions. I don't second-guess your intentions. Your intentions are obvious. Painfully so to the entirety of KMC.

Are you asking me to make a ratings hierarchy of dumbest KMC posters? I guess I could? It's a long list though. Probably be easier to make my Revamped Dr. Strange Respect Thread from scratch.

Man Darth Vader's really been nerfed in the TV shows. First Ahsoka takes off half his helmet, then Obi-Wan just beats the stuffing out of him like he's Popeye eating a can of spinach against Bluto.

^ Out of curiosity... is Obi-Wan widely considered to be one of the greatest Jedi ever?

If Obi-Wan is, would losing to him even be a knock on Vader? Especially given that Obi-Wan was his teacher for a long time???

Please understand, I have no horse in Star Wars debates.

He is, yes.

But Vader himself is supposed to be MUCH stronger at his peak. Even as Anakin before his fall, he regularly doubled in power until he was de-limbing and decapitating Count Dooku, who bushes aside Obi-Wan twice. Even as a.much younger minor, Anakin outperformed Obi-Wan against Dooku.

As for their ROTS final showdown, Anakin clearly and comfortably stood above Obi-Wan. He had him constantly on the defensive, manhandled him with one arm, was up first after a double force push sent them flying in opposite directions.. Obi-Wan only prevailed because Anakin grew arrogant and idiotically tried to leap over his head, leaving himself open to a single slash that took several limbs off.

And ok fair enough, Obi-Wan had experience on him, and he kept his cool. But it was an upset victory, there was no doubt who was stronger.

The TV program meanwhile has Obi-Wan WTF combo to KO Vader. I mean, he just goes SSJ on his butt, he absolutely and completely overwhelmed Vader. No real tricks to speak.of, no real tactics, just brutalized him.

Kenobi is in the top 5 all-time [canon] Jedi for sure. Anakin/Vader losing to him isn't necessarily a low feat -- especially given the extenuating circumstances at play(namely Anakin's/Vader's emotions getting the better of him.)

Emperor asks the question, but I don't think the show really justified it by showing even a hint of sentimentality. Remember Vader literally buried Obi-Wan and left him for dead, so where was the hesitation?

Rebels did a MUCH better job of showing weakness, as Anakin's personality actually surfaced at the sight of Snips. He clearly did not want to hurt her, and hoped she'd join him and be spared.

Did vader look sentimental?

So ODG, do you see the Rocky comeback to the Eye of the Tiger that I do, or do you think Vader beat Vader?

I plan on watching Kenobi at some point so I won’t watch the clip. But I personally was speaking to the “instructor” advantage that Kenobi might have over any of his students. He taught them almost everything they knew, right? Unless, Palpatine completely retrained Anakin’s lightsaber fighting style?

So I wasn’t speaking to Anakin’s emotional attachments. Didn’t even think about it, tbh. But without thinking about it too much, I had always assumed that Anakin’s feelings towards Kenobi were extinguished at the conclusion of Revenge of the Sith.

But seriously, this is a perspective from someone who basically has only watched the movies and part of a TV series. Other than random comic scans and snippets of KMC discussion, I dunno crap about Star Wars.

As someone who sat through all six episodes;;

Good luck. 🙂

Not that it's unwatchable, but there's a character who elicited.more then a few eye rolls. You'll know it when you see it.

What are you smoking?! 😱

Youre in for one hell of a comedown when you realise people dont rate you anywhere near as much as you rate yourself. ❌

You're an egotistical drunk with a fragile ego who is threatened by my mere presence.

Said insecurities manifesting themselves as delusions of grandeur, pretentiousness and frequent b*tch spasms upon seeing my name.

I will not dim myself to make you feel better. Get help. 😬

You've recommended this to me before, went ahead and downloaded the four books today. Hopefully i can find time to read them sooner than later.

Man my Sci-Fi plate is so full right now. 😂

Already did Isaac Asimov, onto other things.

Currently working through Starship Troopers (Been on my bucket list so started on that), but have The Culture, Wheel of Time, right down to From the Earth to the Moon. Talking deep dive binge. (Also Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser, even if not really sci-fi)

I'll add it to the list though.

Kenobi has always had his number. He was just proving it again.

👆

Yeah Vader straight up lost, it was beautiful.. Force pushing Vader like he did was the icing, that has NEVER happened.

Funny how Obi-Wan could never handle Dooku though. Even with the experience edge, some of those tactics "should" do something.

Just realized. In Wonder Woman's bio also mentioned Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman Trinity

And I feel Stilt would like this

And no wonder DC is one of the most pornfied media fanchises
