I think it's common knowledge on this forum that all eras of DC characters are canon at this point

Back in a time, Death Metal doesn't happen
It seems you're in denial here

As for the timeline part, why not let the guy(Scott Snyder) who made "everything happened" explain to you?

Yeah, but I'm asking you when I said Death Metal *didn't* make everything count.

Again, can you read? At what point I said Death Metal didn't make everything count?

Yes, it's irony. Since I already answered you question. He has adventures in 1940s

It gets undone by Death Metal, sorry

You know...the more quotes you quoted me...shows more that I'm consistent with my position, and shows more that you can't read TBH

Yeah, so the mainstream Superman has every different era of adventures, agree? They're retconned away because multiple crises

And Doomsday Clock sets *before* Death Metal, no?

It's after Death Metal everything gets (re)retconed back

So the conclusion actually would become Superman has all the adventures of different eras(Doomsday Clock) and then they get restored(Death Metal), no?

The Lois that existed in the 1940s was part of Superman-2's universe. As clearly shown in all the stories since Crisis on Infinite Earths and punctuated by Infinite Crisis and Doomsday Clock.

qwertyuiop1998, however, is trying to pretend that Death Metal unified every timeline into a single one based on a throwaway ad tagline. But he cannot reconcile that neither current Superman, nor current Lois emerged during the 1940s if that were truly the case.

And for all of qwertyuiop1998's whining, he cannot escape the absurdity that his premise leads to, hence, avoiding answering my simple question for 5 pages before blowing his anus and spreading his sh1t all over this thread.

Did they not emerge during WW2? Which is to say, the whole sliding timescale that shows comic characters happening to 'fit in' with whatever era they're being published in?

Like, Daredevil was born in 1950. He was also there when 9/11 occurred (as an example, I'm sure others know better characters to fit). All the characters he meets scale off this. Foggy Nelson isn't a geriatric geezer, Spidey isn't the world's dumbest high schooler etc.

Punisher was a Vietnam War vet, then it was changed to Afghanistan or whatever, because otherwise we have an 80 year old handing Spidey his ass. It just.....changes to fit so comics always fit inside a short 10 year window, or something like that.

Current Superman did not emerge during WW2. Superman-2 did. As documented in Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, etc. The sliding timescales that Marvel employs are compartmentalized by DC into specific alternate universes as shown during Doomsday Clock.

Except now, I'm arguing with a moron who acts like all pre-Crisis history counts for current Superman but then denies it, but then is shown multiple posts where he argued it, but somehow is fleeing from it again.

If you're not arguing that, then we have nothing more to debate.

So shut up.

Didn't Doomsday Clock show that Superman emerge in 1938? And due to Death Metal, the history gets restored?

As I explained to you in this post, which you ironically quoted

So long as you aren't suggesting this, then we have nothing more to discuss.

So stay quiet.

So long as you aren't contending such, there is no need for further discourse.

Stop begging my attention otherwise.

Can we not just agree?

Not everything is canon (what ODG wants).

The best feats we want to use, however, are (what qwerty wants).

Sorted.

Truly, the wisdom of Solomon resides in me.

Because you wrongfully understand my post, and make posts?
It seems a bit hypocritical to tell somebody shut up, when it's you who made mistakes in the first place
