Admittedly, it's been a while since I read Infinite Frontier. But it seemed to me that The Empty Hand pulled a Yu-Gi-Oh! trap card on Darkseid. Like what happened with TOAA and Thanos during Marvel Universe: The End. I agree he's compeltely warped the Alpha World... but what far-reaching effects beyond the Alpha World reality have actually manifested in the greater DC Multiverse? Honest question.
None so far in this particular story, as we’re one Batman and one Wonder Woman issue into the beginning of this so far.

Absolute Wonder Woman #1 was a fun read. Really liked it.

Hellblazer: Dead in America #10 is just horrific. Especially British sensibility. Hard to read sometimes -- practically impenetrable if you're several beers in. But jfc, best comic series I've read in a while. Makes every mainstream interpretation of John Constantine seem watered down. Not even necessarily for the worse, mind you. Those versions have their place.

But if you want core, unabashed, uncensored John Constantine? This is the sh1t.

Avengers was such a boring read, considering it's the first real look we've seen of Sorcerer Supreme Doom.

^ Beginning to think Marvel editorial is stuck spinning their wheels on Doctor Doom because they're worried they will compromise what the MCU is doing or they're worried they won't capitalize on what the MCU is doing.

Or both. Probably both.

Sure hope not, we've got ages yet till the movies!

Constantyne in DC trying to play hero is still good but it could never match the Vertigo stuff.

I'm sure it's been said already, but DC's "Absolute" titles have been really good so far(particularly the Batman issue.)

It reminds me of when the New 52 books first launched. Some of those were excellent reads... Among the best DC has ever published. Just hope the Absolute titles don't fizzle out in the same kind of way.

Only two are out so far, right?

1000% agree. Mainstream DC Constantine had his place, sure. But if you read those comics, nobody could blame him for any of the choices he made. SO he was very much a hero.

Hellblazer Constantine, though? A protagonist. Yes. A hero though? Nah.

You cheer him on similarly. Because he achieves such elaborately clever cons against inhumanly impossible odds. You feel giddy and get drunk off those "triumphs". But then you realize the horrific costs that underpinned those victories. All the very human casualties required to "win". You sober up, right quick.

210 mph 🤣

Yeah, that's slow for him, as they say.

that and I think he’s just better with less interaction with the other bright shiny characters. About how I feel about Punisher too. I’m sure there’s some cool moments or stories — looking at you daredevil crossovers— but he’s at his absolute best disconnected from the others in the MAX stories.

Wonder Woman being a hell warrior with a giant Guts sword was a great idea. lol

I wasn’t that excited at first, but it’s definitely growing on me very quickly. DC needed something fresh like this.

Which is kinda hilarious considering n52, Rebirth etc.

This sh** is crazy. Wolverine cuts Colossus with ease and Colossus rips Wolverine arm off with ease. Both of these i thought was impossible. How times have changed....

It's not even canonical to 616, Carvie.

"Prairie seeds academy"

Not sure why ripping Wolverine's arm out of its socket is considered impossible?

It shouldn't happen.
