The ring probably had something to do with the time traveling, but the other flight fts are impressive. 1 second in a week is hyperbole though. Sorry.

Yeah, it's a homing device, as stated. To pinpoint his destination.

Also, him being able to see past atoms, and to see neural patterns. You said 'most' of it was lip service, yet you can only bring one out of...five feats, lol.

The tears are real.

The ring only is stated to be a homing device, no? I.E, it just uses as a thing to direct Superman "when" he should go, but not adding time-travelling ability to Superman in this occasion

The rings were never used to time travel?

I thought the flight ring transport people to any time? It also assists with flight, right?

But that is not what is said in the comic itself? Superman says he is using it as a homing device:

Your phone can play videos, games, surf the net, display books, play music, receive radio signals, check your emails, make phone calls....

But if I say 'Carver, open the compass app on your phone and use it as a compass' that doesn't mean you're...I don't know, ringing your friends up for directions or some shit lol. You are literally using it as a compass, and as a compass only, in that moment. Can it do other things? Sure. But you aren't using those other functions.

Try harder.

That is not the Legion Superman met and got a flight ring.
The scan you posted is Threeboot Legion, which is a Legion Supergirl hanged up with. Superman met the original Legion and was a member of it(as stated in the story)

So we are just going to ignore the flight ring capabilities like enhancing flight and time traveling and just focus on what Superman said. Him even having the flight ring on takes away from the ft. It's not like he was going to sit there and define everything the ring does.

You should probably find another ft where there isn't an outside source attached to a character that gives abilities.

There were even more feats for Superman, lol - a second is like a week to him, his vision can see things smaller than atoms+electrons, he is fast enugh to fly all over the universe in a few hours, he can see neural patterns:

Insane feats, really. Even Rann is 'only' 4.5 lightyears away from Earth, and he could casually fly there...

He was on Oa too. ****ing insane feats lol

The scan doesn't says Legion rings can time travel and Ultra Boy had to ask for the help of Nabu when he was stranded in the past even when he had legion ring.

You should probably find the right comic sources to make you argument TBH.

You posted a scan which is not the same Legion. It's Earth-Prime Legion, I.E, the Legion in Superboy-Prime future

The scan you posted is from LoSH 41(2008), the Legion featured in there is Earth-Prime Legion(I.E, Superboy-Prime's future, not Superman's)

Name one time anyone has travelled in time with a legion ring?

Haters will do anything to lowball Superman

Yes, we ignore it, because ..... he's not using it's other functions.

"Carver, use your phone as a compass"

"It can also work as a remote control, has a HDMI output, has a 95 day battery life, can show 4D holograms, hack the Pentagon, and can control cars"

"yeah but.....I just want you to pinpoint which way is north......"

Like, I don't care what the other functions are. Literally just using one function.

Trapped for weeks in her enemy's place of power, unable to use portals or much of her magic...Magik still does a 'basic' spell that traps the consciousness in its shell. Useful for fighting bodyhopping enemies like Shadowking, I guess...

We can't ignore it. Him having the ring on makes the ft questionable. Period. You all trying to paint a picture that the ring does nothing is funny. Here it states that the ring enhance abilities...

Grants untold amount of power...

Even states abilities are enhanced here as well...

The ring being on Superman takes away from the ft imo.

But we CAN ignore it, because he's only using it as a homing device, as the comic clearly states. If you tell me you're using your phone as a compass, we don't say 'oh maybe he's watching a YouTube video', do we?

Doesn't matter what other functions your phone has. You can post all the phone specs and list all the different functionalities you want of your phone, doesn't matter because you're using it as a compass, nothing more.

🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿

So if you tell someone you're using your phone as a calculator or a compass, that means you're watching an 8k VR video on it?

If someone picks up Mjlonir and use it as a club, I'm not going to think all of the other abilities are not active and I'm sure as hell not going to think the weilder would scream out every ability that they are using like they are Captain Planet.
