I have a cat. Got suckered into adopting it. It's a Maine Coon. The thing is huge. It weighs at least 20 pounds and is fit. It's body is almost 2 feet long, not counting the tail.

He follows me around like a dog and listens to a few commands like lay down and eat. The thing eats like a horse. Costs me about $120 per month to feed. Friendliest cat I've ever seen.

Did you adopt a baby lion by mistake or what?

mmm

Yea that sounds like a different sort of cat. I googled it those things are huge, so it sounds like a mini-lion. Big cats are a bit like canines to me.

When I lived in Canada, my landlady had a Maine Coon. Pretty passive, lazy thing, but yeah, big ****ing cat.

How do you even look after it? Do you take it out for walks or do you let it out? Can you imagine somebody coming across that on a dark night? 😱

It would be hilarious to see someone out walking a cat.

Maybe it's a thing, I've just never witnessed it.

The only thing that ever got that lazy shit off of his ass was the vacuum cleaner, so thankfully I never had to worry about anything like that.

Just because of the influential conversation being had in here, I'm going to buy me a dog when I get off work. What kind of dog is more Hulk-like?

I'd recommend a Samoyd.

Lineage of farm dogs/sled dogs, so they're built pretty well. But they won't mow you down like a police dog or pitbull.

And in your case, I definitely would not want you handling a dog that needs a firm hand.

Honestly, I think a terrier is about your speed.

If you get a Jack Russell or even a cross, expect them to bark at ****ing everything.

A friend of mine has three. This was the case with two of them.

The most obedient dogs, are generally ones that really need to be trained right, or they could really hurt someone. My grandfather (Who's funeral I came from a few hours ago) told stories of his first dog, Prince, who was a mountain dog they had on a farm. A soldier was coming home on leave, in the middle of the night, and crossed their territory. This soldier was armed.

Prince found the man, and wouldn't let him move. He didn't attack him, he merely growled if he so much as twitched, and then barked for his owners.

The soldier told my grandfathers father how he had a gun, could have shot him, but just didn't have it in him. Essentially, the dog was doing his service, like the man does his.

Great story. It's also proof of a trainer that knows what he's doing. I've seen similar breeds who run wild, because the owner simply isn't a fit for the job.

It would probably look like some trying to reel in a 5 pound bass the entire time.

I was happy it wasn't very cat-like.

Sounds like you enjoyed it for a meal or two.

Behind this popular chinese restaurant, there were about 50 cats.

I'm sure it was a coincidence. God, I hope it was. The General Tsu is really good.

Cats are awesome, IMO. They basically take care of themselves. Dogs are too needy, but a wolf is my favorite animal. Also, cats will f^ck you up. Pretty strong pound for pound.

Cats don't need people.

Dogs do.

I'd argue that makes dogs the better pet. 😉

That, and you can actually play with a dog.

Yeah, cats are very independent. But it's a myth that they don't need people. They have shown very strong affection for it's owners. I mean look at this.

Wow. 👆

Cats are also tougher than dogs, can survive without people.

This cat was found 'frozen and unresponsive' in snow. An animal hospital saved her life

I'm more into big cats, though. All cats are natural hunters.
