Let's squash this...In mainstream DC, Jonathan and Martha Kent were killed in a car accident when Superman was in High School:
A death that is STILL canon as of "Doomsday Clock":
But as mentioned already: Pa is still alive in "Up In The Sky":
...Which means it is a non-canon series. Period, end of story.
I miss the short lived "Realistic blue collar farmer" Jonathan Kent.
This could be interesting...
Target: Earth! Hal Jordan and the Blackstars will stop at nothing to bend the planet to its leader's whims, and Earth's greatest heroes pull out all the stops to fight these fascists. Betrayals of cosmic consequence abound! And why is Earth's sun turning orange? We can only hope Superman figures that one out before it's too late... Guest-starring the Justice League!
Hal AND Superman under Morrison's pen... In the same story? Yes, please. droolio

These books are reprints of Canon stories.
And if Clark's parents being alive is what makes this non canon then Tom King's Batman must be non canon because of Thomas Wayne, or the return of Jor-El..

👆. That's EXACTLY the same circumstances, well done for pointing this out.

Thomas Wayne = Flashpoint version = alternate universe version.
Jor-El = resurrected by Manhattan via time manipulation.
How in the **** is that comparable when Manhattan himself confirmed that Jonathan and Martha are still very much DEAD in the canon timeline?
on a completely serperate topic, I was on CV discussing dc cosmology
I know the myth of certain people saying Vertigo cosmology is seperate and unrelated to DC has been busted. But I think we should put the nail on the coffin for this one.
morrison's map is literally bound by destiny's book, dream and death has appeared in dc books multiple times, dream has his own realm in the sphere of gods, heaven is also resided there, lucifer has flown into overvoid and visited other multiverses, which was confirmed in snyder's JL of endless multiverses in the overvoid
more importatntly, dc cosmo has been referenced in vertigo books multiple times too, as Gailman direct reference to the history of planet OA or RAO/krypton in endless night, Despair's convincing Rao to bring life on the unstable planet is literally the reason Superman exists.
planet mogo appears in sandman overture
these kind of examples are countless (I would love you guys to post more on that, Phil? Galan?)
Vertigo cosmology is DC cosmology has been recognized as irrefutable canon by the company and general consensus of internet forum
So now with that out of the way
I wanna discuss the elephant in the room and that is
Snyder/Morrison cosmology vs Vertigo cosmology
which one is the higher hierarchy encompass the bigger dc cosmo
The Writer
Empty Hand, CA Superman, Mandrakk, Perpetua and Monitors etc
or
Presence
The Endless, Lucifer & Michael, Elaine, Mother Night, Father Time etc
I don't include the Void/Overvoid, as Overvoid has been included in both cosmologies (it's been referenced in vertigo books like Lucifer series, Lucifer flew into the overvoid)
Also how does Great Evil Beast/Great Darkness fit into all this, He's been heavily implied to be the big bad in JLD
