I knew you were gonna recommend Vader 😄

It really was a good one. You had pretty decent Jedi and Sith characters for him to mutilate, and his duel with Tarkin was a gem.

The Sith mask in particular was compelling, and furthered the Sith history.

Guess Disney made it easy for him - Soule doesn't care about continuity in general, but when the entire EU got reset, he only needed to respect the OT...

Or maybe the editors responsible for SW comics are actually doing their jobs and actually working with the writers and instructing them... unlike in Marvel.

Soule seems passionate about SW, and is actually interested in making a cohesive story that expands on existing lore. I dig that.

👆

Lord Momin and the dark side 'tech' he constructed changed how we perceive the overall scope/scale of the Force just as much as The World Between Worlds did.

What's so bad about that woman-in-charge story you mentioned earlier?

I mean, I hate the whole SJW thing, but unless I'm missing something (pretty sure I do), it's not that bad of an idea to have a schemer acting more reasonably than Palps - in order to control, maintain and expand the Empire's reach...

Palps' PR leaves much to be desired, after all.

It's shoehorned in to fit a short term agenda, is the problem.

It's like taking Kryptons established history, and having the planet be genocided by an insane Kryptonian.

You know, what Bendis did. I like some of the stuff he pulled, but that was simply unnecessary.

There was nothing "established" about the Empire's behind-of-scenes stuff. Not in the new canon, at least.

Palps looks like a guy who feasts on children's corpses, ffs. And his actual actions only make it worse.

Haha

None of this looks like a question or discussion. Stop it now or I will.

So... JMS, Fraction, Aaron

Who wrote the worst Thor

lol comics man. Did Cheetah really just get tagged by a tranq dart?
I like how Diana elaborates on it though

All revealed to be a setup.

Proof once more that we in general should hold fire on 'feats' and 'low-showings' until storylines run their course.

Why you consider JMS to be bad?

I don't, some do. Everyone was claiming how great Fraction was compared to JMS during the time Fear Itself came out. I don't know if people still remember.

I enjoyed the crap out of JMS Thor, especially the storyline about Bor

Honestly I enjoyed some of JMS Superman, I don't know if you still remember, Supes decided to walk across America and go from town to town like a hobo

Fraction Thor was boring and a little off. Although Aaron's went sideways after GoT, at least he had conviction.
JMS was pretty good.

Because they focus on feats, not characterization.

OMG THOR BFR'D HULK AND ALMOST KILLED HIMSELF IN THE PROCESS --- BEST THOR FEAT IN LIKE 20 YEARS AWESOME

- fraction boys

let's be honest Thor resorts in bfr because if he didn't he would've gotten his sphincter stretched

Yeah, he pretty much admitted it then.

Fraction wrote awful Thor, but he made sure to give thorbags a few feats every once in a while. That kept them his docile pets.

"look here's thor beating serpent who will be a total pussy under new writers zomg"

"lol odin headbutt ftw"

Logan acted pretty fatherly towards Katie Power and Amiko as well, so his nurturing instincts are not limited to mutie girls only.

JMS is the only bearable Thor I've followed
