Imo from what I read from the book. It looks like all the power left Bob when he went to the negative zone and went to void. So Bob is essentially powerless human and the Void is out there masquerading as Sentry with ALL the power. Void is half of him in the same sense that Banner is half of Hulk. He's not talking power wise its more metaphorical.

fact of the matter is Sentry needed the crack in the reality to open it bigger and dimension hop, think of it this way it is easier to rip open a bag that already has a tear than to rip open a sealed bag
he can't shatter the reality by punching like sbp, or tear nothingness itself like atrocitus
