I can understand that, but from a narrative point of view, it still makes no sense. Why boost the being you believe to be your end? Why bestow him more power when he’s not under your full control?

The Surfer is a prime example. How many times has the Surfer betrayed Galactus? Yet he never takes the power back for some reason.

Story wise, Galactus should have imprison Thor so he could delay/stop his demise. This open the flood gate by having the writer bringing Thor’s Asgardians allies into finding away to free him.

Not really got an answer there in a way. Comics will be comics if anything. So far I can only presume as I say that he thought Thor was under his total control and that he had him under his control until he would "have words" with him.

So, can anyone give me a quick update on the X-men? Is Jean back? Are Scott and Wolverine friends? I'm so confused. I saw scans that seemed to indicate these things.

Jean and Wolverine are alive. Scott and Logan are getting along, though as far as we know, neither of them is ****ing Jean atm.

The X-Men are living on Krakoa with the rest of the world's mutants, and Xavier and Magneto have decided that Krakoa is a mutant country in and of itself. They've opened up trade with the rest of the world, and are using their economic might (like, they have extremely potent medicine for example), to basically get everyone else to recognise their sovereignty.

Oh, and any time any one of them is killed, they have a way of bringing them back to life using backup bodies and minds.

The mystical non-physical wound that had no direct effect on his battle power, and if anything, made him fight even more viciously than normal?

Sure. Let's not forget to add him admitting that he always knew he could never beat Hulk.

One comment is enuff at ownage thread. Dunt wanna derail.

Non physical even though Fraction described it as him being "gashed across the gut"...
Had no effect even though Fraction outright said "the Cost was Dire" for him...

Sif says "you're hurt... You're hurting... You're distracted..."
Thor says "it grows... And hurts like Hel..."

Ok....

That last paragraph, how does that affect battleboards? I assume they're all the same right?

The comic suggests that they carry on as normal for the most part, so I assume we do too.

The only real question I have about it is what happens to people like Wolverine, who have more abilities than just what their genes give them.

From what it's said, their minds are backed up ["downloaded"] regularly for the resurrection.

So while they probably lose their last few days/weeks and such, they should essentially be the same -- but that begs the "philosophical" question of if they're even the same person anymore, because it's just clones at that point.

Yeah. I really don't know if Hickman thought of that, or if he just doesn't care.

Or if at the end of this run, there's some big revelation, though the odds of that seem to get slimmer with each issue.

Thanks Pr!

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing about if they are the same person anymore. I suppose that you could argue that it depends on if their soul then inhabits their new body, as souls are very much confirmed as real in marvel, unless the author just decided to disregard that.

And Hickman has already killed a few of the "main" X-Men, so unless there's a big reveal at the end, it's looking like these are meant to be taken as being the same people.

People always forget that. Oh well let the Thor low-ball continue to roll

You know it's bad when even Grima Celerytongue knows better.

Hulk has a habit if jumping Thor with other people. I wonder why? 😆

Thor has a habit of getting assraped.

Because he loves feeling it in the ass.

Hickman:. Oh boy, I wonder what KMC will think of this???

But yeah. They're all technically clones....and we don't *usually* share clone feats.

Technically Marvel has had a complete reboot after Secret Wars...

All I'm saying is that I could whip it out and be a complete dick about it, but I'm a good guy 👆

Not that it matters. Thor said he never could beat him. Wound or no wound, he was never beating him.

U guys keep spamming ownage.

Looked like it was a feint or was feigning. It would have held more weight if he hadnt followed it up with "Did u now?" and punting him into the atmosphere.
