they've ALWAYS had...far more respect for their characters than Marvel

If Wolverine ever loses control is a comic I'd like to buy.
The only thing that could stop him is the Hulk.
Department H could locate new powers to compete with Wolverine.

Was talking comics only. But we could dig into Marvel's history and compare...but we all have busy days I'm sure

Except Nightwing, Quinn, Thomas Wayne, Aquaman, Babs, Arrow, Atom, Cap Atom, Hawkman... etc.

There's always exceptions but for the most part that's what I see.

Shanna the She-Devil may well be marvel's Tazmainian Devil.

They both do the same thing. It's the inconsistency of the writers

No I'd say Marvel's disrespect has been far worse. Batman and Superman alone have never(in canon) seen disrespect on the level of Cap being turned into a nazi for shock value.

You really want to compare DCEU and MCU, lol?

Also, your own damn post:

Look how they massacred mah girl Cassandra 🙁

And if that's not enough, DC were such assholes, they actually wrote a scene in which Cassie and Spoiler look at their past (pre-Flashpoint, I mean) selves in awe and couldn't believe their counterparts didn't suck like them.

You said MCU...I said Marvel...Lets not forget the dark ages before Lord Feige now.

Spider-Raimi still lives in fans' hearts.

Captain America faced a choice. Reputation or save lives. True he lost his life but was remade by the same choice that he made and in that way is still right.

That's Bats and Supes... Cap isn't on the level. And the whole Hydra thing was blown wayyyyy out of proportion, plenty of heroes have turned heel due to brainwashing, magic, etc. If you want to look at someone comparable it would be Spiderman and to a lesser degree Stark. Stark has always had issues (war profiteering, alcoholic, etc) so putting him thru the ringer is no big deal and Spiderman everyone knows his gimmick. Cap is close but he doesn't resonate as well so he had more wiggle room. To say Marvel disrespected him is kinda untrue

It is untrue, especially how it ends up with redeeming him for everything... none of it was his fault.

Meanwhile, this happens to Bats:

Actually the cosmic cube girl probably read his palm and did it in the way that was good for the whole world including himself.
Sorta like a vacation to flordia. Palm trees and all.

I'm gonna be honest; as much as I believe both companies don't give a hot shit about most of their characters, the only instances I've seen from a company where they'd block a cover or a comic from coming out because it hurt the character have been from DC. If anyone knows of any good Marvel (or even other companies) examples, I'd love to see them.

I mean, Nazis were what Cap stood against. The creation of his character and popularity was because of the actions of Nazis in the real life WW2. It would be similar to Spider-man disowning his uncle and saying he never cared about or respected him. Even if its "changed" later on, in the moment its still pretty disrespectful to the spirit of the character.

You're just being silly at this point.

So each time villains troll heroes and turn the public against them, we should cry in our pillows?

As good as that scene is, it's pretty rich for the guy that is known for never "getting over it" to be lecturing Superman on the subject.

Remember when there was rumours that Magneto would be changed for the MCU in to an African American that grew up during the civil rights era?

Yea but that kinda knee jerk reaction is for casuals. People who see a headline of cap but don't read actual comics. For those of us who do we know that Superman donning a black costume or Spidey donning a black costume or Hal going evil or Jean going dark p or pretty much Daredevil in Shadowland, or Bucky as WS or Doom as IM etc...means that eventually they will return to the status quo. I mean anytime DC doesn't like the way continuity is heading they reboot it and start fresh. Marvel AT LEAST owns it and moves on even if we do have to suffer thru OMD level shenanigans.
