Comic Book Questions & Discussion

Honestly I'm surprised, though if it's true that DC is using a new distributor, then maybe it'll be a good thing overall.

The announcement was from Diamond Distribution(who has somehow monopolized all comic distributions.)

Here's the actual press release:

"While there are many steps and conversations that need to happen between today and resuming distribution of new weekly product, we are currently targeting mid- to late-May with the hope that, as an industry, we can all work toward that timeframe. Of course, as we have all seen, target dates sometimes need to be adjusted in this ever-changing new-normal. But we cannot wait for firm dates. We have started the planning process and are having these important conversations with publishers and retailers so that once we have more clarity, we are in a position to restart and scale operations over time."

So mid to late May is just what they're currently aiming for. It's still subject to change.

Probably mafia owned.

Just like Sega. Did you know Sega not only had Yakuza ties, but kidnapped a developers sister? It's true.

Iirc Diamond was able to develop an effective monopoly because there’s no real money to be made in distributing comics. They control the market without competition because the market sucks.

That's the kind of businesses mafia target, actually.

Didn't you read "The Boys"?

"With the kind of people we know, we don't gotta do a lotta business, to stay in business, kapeish?"

Kind of wish Shang Chi had a rematch with Gorgon, before Marvel stopped caring about Gorgon.

I think he could have won. All he needed to do, was get that sword away from him and use it against him. Which he totally had openings to do.

Would have been nice to see some other Dream match's, like a real Iron Fist/Gorgon fight, complete with full on IF blitz ala Black Panthers beat down. Or Sabertooth vs Gorgon, which could be really fun.

He was amped by Starktech, planned the fight well using his surroundings and still got his ass handed to him.

If they had a rematch, Gorgon probably wouldn't care to entertain him again and would give him the stare.

Basically. Gorgon has a haxx weapon that he never used.

Which was just begging to be used against him.

I don't really care who did it, I'm just disappointed no writer ever thought "Man, how the hell can this guy even survive Gorgon? It would take some super duper weapon to beat him. Something that can take down Zeus.

Kind of like that sword he carries around but never uses.. Hmmm."

I saw that story on YouTube. That shit was hilarious.

Danco is straight up terrible.

Has Kitty Pride ever been affected in intangible form by anything?

Say, like Martian Manhunter was stabbed by Kanto using a New Gods "Hyperspace sword", whatever that is?

Yeah, she's been hurt.

By adamantium, by Magneto. The list goes on.

Their phasing powers are different.

But to answer your question, we won't know till they fight or at least interact with each other.

shiver me triggers.

Who's triggered by what?

Stilt said Adamantium affects her, and Dark said gravity affects her. And Visions power is to get ultra dense.

So why I asked.

The N'Garai can hurt her while phased.
