I think an Elephant themed comic character would be the end of Superman's reign.

No idea. I stopped reading DD after he got lectured by Parker but it's probably a writer/artist error

Owl experimented on himself iirc, so he mutated further.

But I don't recall him growing claws. That's new.

I hate you 😛

But yeah, also thought of the same showing.

Same writer, same run, right?

😂 I think so. Same artist too?

Daredevil should make every street his *****, but at least it took more than a casual baton toss to beat Frank.

Artist - definitely. Just don't remember his name atm, but he's been working for Marvel for a long time.

Yeah, that Bullseye ownage was crazy. Looney Tunes crazy.

It's kinda ridiculous that DD can flip him over like that.

Yeah that was over the top. He outmuscled a charging Rhino..
DD is what 6ft 200lbs? Rhino is like Thing level strength. 😂

Flipping him is not the weird part.

Matt is a top tier MA; sure he can use his opponents' momentum and weight against them.

But... making Rhino choke on a hilt of Crossbones' knife...?

That was all sort of dumb.

Why didn't he... I dunno... spit it out? Or even chomped through it?

DD seemed to have no problem extracting it from Rhino's mouth, so it's not like it got stuck in his throat or something.

Perhaps he hit a crucial pressure point there? If so, too bad it wasn't stated.

I think he jammed the knife down Rhino’s throat, past his teeth? Rhino literally choked on it, passed out, and then DD somehow used his billy club to get it out?

Either that or rhinos are like turtles. Once they’re on their backs they’re f*cked. DD just shoved the knife in there to shut him up.

That was a shitty knife --- blade shattered after deflecting a single bullet. Somehow I doubt its hilt was better.

Rhino was Class 80 by Parker's estimation, before he started working out (became much stronger, as noted on panel) and got bloodlusted 24/7 after losing his wife.

And he's bulletproof even without his armor.

😂 @the turtle part. Love that explanation 👆

I have no words.

The rumour is that Marvel actually wanted to retcon Uncle Ben to be a pedo, but they reconsidered.

But... they did make Pete daydream about Uncle Ben... during sex with Mary Jane... 🙁

I guess.. 😮

But usually I see streets flipping higher tier bricks while they're standing and catching them off guard or using their own momentum like an ole in a bull charge.
This looks like Matt produced force above a much higher tier brick who was running at him. He might as well stop a 40 ton semi moving straight at him, at 50mph. Seemed off to me.

That would be one **** you to fans of Uncle Ben’s words to Peter. “With great power, come great responsibilities.”

I don’t think many writers know some words/advices from fictions actually shape a young persons life.

Just like in All Star when Superman saved that girl from commuting suicide. A young individual read that story, was thinking about commuting suicide, until they read the words Superman told that girl. It saved said individual.

I’m glad they didn’t retcon Uncle Ben into such a monster.

I know we're talking about comics here but using his momentum and taking a look at Rhino's first bullrush (he sent Kingpin, DD and 2 cars flying like nothing) would be like trying to use a train's momentum against it.

The ONLY explanation that would make sense is if Rhino wasn't charging at him, but standing there and shouting Graagh!

Rhino can kill an elephant, scary beasts

Rhino as an animal is like that powerlifter strongman with all brute and no aesthetic

Since when?

Even teenage elephants bully and kill rhinos

Yeah, Matt somehow produced enough counter force to stop Rhino's charge and throw him to the ground.

Pretty hard to reconcile a street doing something like that.

Yeah, Elephants are MUCH more massive. You can practically drive a car into those beasts and be more likely to kill your self and wreck the car then kill them. Can't see a Rhino killing a healthy adult elephant.

Sounds like someone was a fan of Ranma 1/2.

Ryoga Hibiki stopping a charging giant boar and tossing it about a mile into the sky in his first appearance.

Meh.

Batman had a similar showing and - despite what the art showed - Grant Morrison stated in the director's cut of the issue that Batman used his attacker's own momentum against him.

Sure, but "skill" is just as OP as actual superpowers in comics.

That's why a guy like Ogun can kick ass while possessing an old, fat woman.

Logically, a guy like Batman shouldn't disappear from Superman and J'onn trying to study his moves... and T'Challa or Temugin should break their fingers, trying to pressure-point Cage or Hulk.

Reading the Punisher Max series.

It's hard to believe Jason Aaron went from this to being handed the reigns of a key "politically correct" story.

That was a good read.

And yeah, Aaron's work was very enjoyable in general before he started writing Whor.
