I don't think there's any company on the planet that's using superlatives as inflationary as DC.

Death Metal Just Unleashed the Most Powerful Batman EVER

Interesting.

So now I do wonder if having Dianna 'kill' him was TBWL's plan all along, and he found a way to transfer his essence into a Manhattan-empowered vessel..?

DC’s having quite a week of plumbing new depths.

Can’t wait for Batman to lead his own Bat-lantern Corps.

Wouldn't be surprised. At this point, nobody can really out plan TBWL.

Now I'm just curious when TBWL is going to double cross Perpetua.

He should do it pretty easily. He's owned other cosmic forces on a consistent bases now (Spectre, The Monitor, Wally with Manhattan's powers, etc...)

what do you think about presence=the source?

Im curious why Batman hasn't recruited other good Batmen to combat tbwl crew or did i miss that plotline

Batman doesn't recruit anyone. People recruit Batman.

Continuity merger inbound...

just read the issue, bendis is completely ignoring the conclusion of doomsday clock right now

Tbf, Snyder might be trying to ignore it as well...

"Dr. Manhattan tried to mend the fractures in our multiverse, to heal the scars of the former Crises... But his attempt did not have the intended affect."

in a way I see what he's saying

Johns DC cosmology is, all past eras exist in alternative realities

what Snyder is intended to do is connect all past eras into one timeline

Can someone explain the point of all the continuity mashups?

also galan, I am glad dc is still recognizing presence as the top dog, as we see in death metal

Batman doesn’t so much ‘recruit’ as ‘groom from a young age’

It's when you have no guideline for anything in your company so you restart everything over and over and then make even more shit up and mash it together to pretend it was on purpose.

Agree. Snyder is essentially pushing for ALL the past Crises to be undone, and ALL of DC's eras to be merged... So in that way, Manhattan's manipulations didn't have the "intended effect", because the Crises still happened, and very few characters are aware of them.

Looking back on it, I think Manhattan could have easily altered history in such a way that the Crises never occurred, and/or never affected reality on a broad scope, but he just wasn't interested in doing that. All the changes Manhattan made to the past were done solely so he could try to learn WHY the multiverse revolves around Superman... Superman's fundamental nature is really all he gave a shit about researching.

Was The Presence mentioned in Death Metal?
