I mean... he is... Superman is one of THE worst characters ever created in fiction, thor isn't. You can't give me a single legitimate reason as to why anybody should/can actually relate to him. He's always been boring, that's not an opinion.
Come back to me when a Thor reader reads a Thor book, and saves them from Actually committing suicide.

@diesl you have a profile pic one of the worst characters ever characters in fiction, you should be ashamed of yourself, Thor has more depth overall, period. Superman is so forced one dimensional.
Wanna know what i'd do?
I'd change him up a bit in mainstream and stick with it. If they'd have kept motorcycle new52 Superman around like a captain America/nomad style character they could have had an interesting deal going for example
AND superman is not reliable hero. He may be a good person as said by batman but deep down he's not dedicated to humanity. Let me know and I'll explain why.
I can give two shits how any super duper loyal fanboys feel about what i said, i'll dismantle anybody who think otherwise 😂

Why?
Superman is kind,selfless,brave,compassinate,etc.
He does everything to help people who is oppressed.
What is so bad about such a good person?
Thor is much better developed as a character
DC won't allow writers to do to much out of the formula with Superman.
Marvel has allowed for some pretty cool stuff with Thor.

That's a textbook definition of an opinion.
No, it isn't.
Also, DC will wait until Marvel has a writer come in and shake things up to decent success and they'll go right behind them and snatch the writer up to attempt the same with failing results. DC has done this also with the darkstars being a nova corps knock off for example.
Marvel doesn't rely only on 2 or 3 characters to sell. Marvel doesn't have a Batman for sales. Marvel was very strategic on how they sell their books. Most of Marvel is made up of teams. Such as Avengers, Defenders, X-men, Heroes for Hire and ect. Marvel yes has Spider-man, Wolverine and Hulk but they don't only rely on them for sales. For instance 70's-90's X-men ran Supreme at Marvel, early 2000's Avengers ran Supreme. Now X-men and Avengers sell great. Beside Batman who really sells at DC? Superman stays around 30-45k usually in sales.
Minorities characters aren't written properly or fairly at DC. Until Far Sector I was convinced for 2 decades DC would sabotage them on purpose or would try to push characters that were boring even to the writers. Some examples characters like Miles Morales, Black Panther, Storm, Luke Cage, Falcon , and ect. They hold reliance in their universe, they hold leadership roles and even had events or were in the center of events. Characters like Cyborg, Black Lightening, and ect. Cyborg is litteraly a token character that fans have proven multiple times they don't want him having a book or him in anything besides the Titans.
I can keep going on, DC doesn't, has NEVER, and WILL never compare to Marvel in terms of anything, period. and I'll gladly debate that with anybody
