Captain America copied Batman's entire storylines for like 5 years straight starting from the mid 2000s -- starting with copying Jason Todd coming back [Bucky also does!], Batman dying [Cap also dies!], Dick replaces Batman [well, what do you know!] and, in the end, even to the extent that Batman didn't die in Final Crisis, he was just thrown through time and, what do you know, Cap also didn't die, and he was just thrown through time.

These "coincidences" were flat-out hilarious. Especially the last one.

lol.

DC has been copying Marvel for a ****ing decade, Marvel does it far less.

They've both been copying each other for decades. What's your point?

my point is that DC copies more.
Zantana is a carbon copy of Scarlett witch. SW is a homo-superior, Zan is a homo-magi, they both got villains as dad's ,both magic users etc
They also copied hulk with Grundy, copied Wasp with bumblebee, copied deathlok with cyborg I mean it's a shit ton

And they got the fake dr doom Lord Havok

They wanted Thor to be the main guy compete with Supes but Thor fails so much

so they created a bunch of superman clones

to be fair superman clones are everywhere, image has them, marvel has them, dc has 2 different races of beings just like superman

Thor fails? He is better than Supes in nearly every way.

DC and Marvel have doing this for decades. Both have copying a lot of characters.
Deasthstroke-Deadpool
Darkseid-Thanos
Superman/Batman-Lots of inferior copies of them in marvel
They did it so often that makes us impossible to tell which company has more copies than the other

Lmao Solomon Grundy came out in 1944.

Hulk was in the 60s.

And before we bring in Havok and the Extremists....I have two words. Squadron Supreme.

Can someone help explain what DCs "comic book Limbo" realm is? Like, are the characters portrayed in Limbo (such as Merryman) stuck there permanently, or can they potentially break free?

How exactly does it work?

Pre 52, Limbo was also the Phantom Zone.

Referring to Limbo as it was shown in Superman Beyond.

It's a fully metafictional realm where "forgotten" characters go. That is to say: when a character stops being used regularly in modern storytelling, they are effectively sent to Limbo.

The only way for a character to get out of Limbo is if a writer starts using them in stories again. For example, Mister Freeze used to be stuck in Limbo:

But now that he appears quite frequently in Batman stories(*thx Batman TAS*), he is no longer in Limbo.

And once a character leaves Limbo, they have no memory of ever being there:

No need to prove that you're an idiot in every post.

I see.

But since the characters featured in Limbo were technically used in modern storytelling (like Merryman appearing in Superman Beyond), then shouldn't they technically be out of Limbo now?

They should be used FREQUENTLY in modern storytelling only then they can be freed from the limbo imo

Your Aquaman is a lame copy of Namor not even good enough for comic relief material.

Even though Merryman appeared in the issues, he was still written as a character who was trapped in Limbo... And the only way for a character to escape is if they are written out of Limbo.

So if Merryman started appearing regularly in current books, then he would effectively be removed from Limbo. However, his appearances in Animal Man and Superman Beyond just reiterate the fact that he is still very much stuck there.

If you lined them all out one by one, sure, DC might copy more. But not by any large margin.

You'd have to read an Aquaman comic before I'd take a comment of yours on the character seriously.

So let me get this straight... You think AQUAMAN out of ALL PEOPLE is a good character and you thought me "hating"/disliking on morrison JL was surprising?

😂 😂 😂

😂 😂 😂 Dude is worse than Cyborg. There's ACTUALLY somebody in the world that likes Aquaman, haha that's hilarious man

Pfft Aquaman is a great character. Super Friends ruined the character for the general public
