It is, but DC is doing severely worse than Marvel. People joke, but it's been a while since the gap has been this large....Why would you say that?
Yeah, and the poxy Fandome event is on the 22nd too.
DC has ALWAYS been doing worse than Marvel, period.
In the past decade Marvel has had break out characters who crossed over in animation, tv and some into movies such as Gwen-Poole, Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, Moon Girl, and Robbie Reyes. DC struggles with new characters breaking out or even becoming relevant. Even people say well Gwen-Poole's comic sales such. Yet do you notice how much her merch sells? I managed several stories in the past he stuff would always sell out. Ms. Marvel is a character that's been in an animated series, a soon to be triple A video game , and she's getting a live action tv series. Meanwhile Miles Morales has a successful animated movie, getting a videogame, and even has had an event to himself. In hindsight Black Wally and black Aqulad are the closest you can compare and they aren't really big.
Marvel until 2010 was an independent company. They didn't have a major corporate company backing them. Warner has owned DC since the 70's. Durning the crash Marvel had to put in major work to save their company from going out of business. Meanwhile DC was safe because Warner saw them as an IP farm. Desperation can bring some great ideas and have people try to new practices that become successful. One of those ideas is events. When Marvel has event Newweek, Variety and People Magazine mentions them. DC rarely gets attention from major media. I remember back in the early 2000's Marvel would hire Hollywood writers and have them go on talk shows and talk about the books, Imagine how many thousands to hundreds of people seem the
Stories Marvel takes more real life stories and writes about them. Yes DC does it but overall DC doesn't do it as much or write it in a way that's relvant to what's going on. Marvel has touched in police brutality, 911, race relations, sexuality, ect for years.
It FEELS AMAZING hearing the news though.

That's a lot of text to argue against a point I never made.
Then again, I see how you feel about DC, so...
Few things from Death Metal...
1.) Barry states that BatManhattan is still "relatively weak", but if he absorbs the fraction of Manhattan's power that Wally has, he'll become powerful enough to kill Perpetua:
Does this not imply that Manhattan(at full power) > Perpetua?
2.) Lobo(working on behalf of Luthor) evidently stole something from the 5th dimension to use as a weapon against BatManhattan/Perpetua:
...Which will evidently give Luthor the ability to change the story itself.

1. Certainly seems to be the clear implication.
2. Snyder seems to have something with 5D stuff in a box, lol. Did it with Batmite in the 6th D arc.
One thing I noticed is that when BatSeid recounts Final Crisis, he says the gun is what sent Bruce back in time, when it was the Omega Sanction. That is either a retarded mistake by Snyder, or what is basically the canon explanation -- in the Dark Multiverse that's how it happened.
1.) Cool. That's what I was thinking as well.
2.) I'm going to laugh my ass off if Mxy comes flying out of that box to save the day, lol. But seriously, the fact that Luthor(who has intimate knowledge of Perpetua and TBWL) still thinks that using 5th dimensional power is the best way to stop the duo speaks volumes, imo.
Snyder is simply a retard(and a barely functional retard at that.) Seems like maybe a soft retcon(?) because the gun had nothing to do with Batman being displaced in time in the first place -- like you said, Darkseid used the Omega Sanction/Ancestor Box to do that. The gun was only used by Batman to shoot DS with the radion bullet.
Originally posted by Galan007Depending on how this goes, the 5th dimensional power might be used as fuel to reignite the entire DC continuity to 'all is canon'. Though I doubt that's Luthor's plan -- the end result might get us there. And Manhattan's remaining energy will be used to "connect" it all.

Essentially, imagination/story [5th D] + connective story [Manhattan] = everything is connected/one large story.

Yeah, Snyder is just....jesus. I'll give him the benefit of a doubt and say that's simply that version of events from the Dark Multiverse.
Also, good to see the out of all that massive gathering, heroes still think Superman is the most powerful of them all, lol.
